"should I remove the worst feature of the game" nah brah letting people pick an action then having the game say "nuh uh you didn't really chose that option, look it's not even a choice on the screen" is the kind of endearing game mechanic everyone loves in their jerkoff games.
"You can't choose this if your shower stat is too low" in stat-based games is bad enough, but "even if you chose this imma decide if you really did or not" is a massive escalation in anti-player technology.
I'm harping on this because the underlying story is interesting and I like most of the characters, but every time the engine slapped me in the face and said "nope, you can't do that, rng" I wanted to ragequit. So I did ragequit, overrode the system to force all checks to be 100000% and enjoyed the game. I really want to see what's going on with the dipshit wanna-be cult leader teacher.

Yeah. Shattered Minds falls into that trope and it's unfortunate because mind control is much more interesting when it's subtle and not all-powerful - or powerful enough to let the conquered be free to rage at what you're doing to them while not being able to stop you.
MyBestDeal is an example of the latter - powerful enough to conquer the femdom teacher and twist her to your will, while confident enough in his own abilities to let her be aware of it and curse him the whole time.
This is borderline mindwipe, reprogramming rosie. A couple instructions "oh yeah forget god and everything you believe in, you serve me now"? Maybe MC will get better at it as time goes on but he's weilding his power like a club. It'd have been more interesting to undo the conditioning her stepfather was putting on her and see where that led rather than brute-forcing her into abandoning it.
It's going to be fascinating to see the conflict between him and the cult, because he was not expecting that when he erased himself from memory. Now he's in a good spot to add Anna to his little collection without fundamentally changing her character, if he's smart.
I've played those and found something to like in all of them, but I personally prefer this game and Mind Society. The characters and setting feel a bit more realistic.

Claiming people haven't played good mind control avns and then giving this list. Now I haven't played Bright Lord, so I will refrain to talk about that, but Shut Up and Dance wouldn't be classified as a good MIND CONTROL avn in my book. While in the beginning it does seem like the mind control will take center stage, it is downplayed for most of the game and something that gets mentioned in the reviews somewhat frequently. A good game, but not if you are looking for the mind control/corruption aspect of it.
My Best Deal is a bit better in that regard, the MC does use his powers more, but not as much as this. Your choices are greater here in the moment, but it is still early game, so it can be difficult to see how it will pan out.
Shattered Minds I agree with. It is currently my favorite game on this site. The mind control aspect is very central to the story and the love interests. The focus is on getting a big harem rather than further developing a few LI's, so it can be a negative in that regard if you prefer fewer, more well developed characters over many. That being said, I do feel like the characters are fleshed out, it is just that they mean little once their stories are over.
Personally I would point out:
Mind Society, which although in a somewhat limbo is great with a good focus on mind control
My Hypnotized Family
Snow Daze - A completed game, not that long, but great
Summer MC
The Gift Reloaded. Abandoned, but still has some good mind control elements and quite some length to it, but ends in a cliffhanger.
