because there were some changes at the beginning of the game, I tried three times (because, like you, my save file was lost) and I realised there were some additional scenes. Maybe this is why the save file was lost.

Why bother with load and save dev?
Just provide a new save that starts at your new chapter for every new release.
I really don't hold out much hope that this game will technically finish as we are this far along in the game and the save functions haven't been fixed.

Fujino set it up that way:just start a new game, pick the chapter you want, and choose the date you’d like to start from. You can jump straight into the latest update right away.

Started new game, how do you pick your chapter as it auto starts right back at the beginning and I cannot locate how to select chapters?

My bad, I just noticed I answered you about a different game. But yeah, you can’t choose a chapter, though on page 29 a guy posted a file that adds this feature.
