Not me. I dislike it as much as all these MC's starting a new life at some office/ school/ city/ village after disaster struck. Living with a step-/ adoptive family, consisting of a milfy mother and a handful of sisters, nieces, aunts or BFF's. It's just a lazy setup for easy lewd interaction.

Within the the scope of this mom-son thread, I have to agree not many titles come to mind that are situated outside of a rental, step family or adoptive setting. Some of which still making an impression visually and/ or story wise.
But it remains the main reason I rush through 90% of the dialogue and give preference to non-(implied) incest games.
I think it's the easiest way to bypass payment processor bullshit. Unfortunately, that's the world we live in.
What I hate much more, is step/adoptive "incest" and affairs with in-laws being tagged as incest. It's just pathetic engagement whoring. No blood ties = No incest. Step can be icky or taboo, but it's definitely not incest and in-laws is basically just adultery/cheating and it's marked as incest to get as many views as possible on porn sites.

Some devs use a system where "landlady" is the default, but the player has the option to adjust the relationships as they see fit, and I think that's always the best choice. No need for a code or script change.

Thankfully, the better devs adjust the things that the characters call one another as well. Not just the name. One of my favorite games even just uses a cheat code that fixes the entire thing in one swoop.
The workarounds aren't there for the sake of those who don't like taboo, they're not the target audience for these games to begin with.

You don't have many options, and neither does the developer; he's forced to follow the rules, and if he goes against them, he'll get into trouble with the payment providers.

Holy hell, you guy's weren't kidding about this game. One of my current M/S favorites (as well as multiple top B/S contenders). My main issue with Monkey Business was that the world building and the main conflict felt like such an after-thought compared to the absolutely superb character writing. I also was a bit annoyed by just how small the cast was as well, especially for me given if you dislike the sister character, like I did, you're basically cut out of half of the content. However with this game, every single aspect has been massively improved. Complex world building and courtly intrigue. Branching storylines with hard choices and a great since of agency. Plus it has a large but not overwhelming cast of excellently written characters. And the cherry on top, the mother is absolutely DIVINE in terms of looks and personality. Thanks for this great suggestion everyone.

The one thing dragging this game down for me is the often very poor translation from Russian to English. A rewrite is in progress, done all the way to Chapter 5, which also fixes many long-standing bugs. I’m helping out the dev of that rewrite, developping a built-in replay gallery which the original game lacks.

I 100% agree. With a proper native English localization this could easily be an undisputed classic in the making. If you guys need additional help I'm open to lending a hand (despite not speaking or writing Russian, but well versed in English).
