I'm a bit confused. First, I heard there was no harem option so I moved on dispite liking how the game looked. Then I heard there will be a harem option. That got me reinterested. Now I'm hearing that it is more of a VERY lite harem meaning only a couple of LI's in the harem. Now, I'm thinking of walking away again.
Now, don't get me wrong, I think Monster College is an excellent AVN, I just like what I like, and I keep hoping for a more definitive answer to the whole harem question. Need to know if this is something I want to back or not.

Easy. If you require your harem to be comprised of every romanceable character the game has to offer, this game isn't for you. If you want you harem to be based on faithfullness and trust, this game isn't for you. If you feel the need for some random bullshitery (on a sidenote:

but, yes, really yes...yet, my bad, because i wasnt clear enough - im not talking about classic "bugs" (as in code/script errors), more like design bugs - and that is one of those.
the same way as it was enforced "harem encounter" with ex GF and chicks from the university, or enforced shosha sex, or a few other examples, which all were fixed a bit later (kudos to the dev!)

the same goes for lily, so hopefully the dev will find some time to polish and improve her arc a bit.
she is quite interesting character, perhaps more than some "main" LIs (particularly those harem-friendly), so would be a shame to not do her a justice. personally wouldnt mind at all if she would be solo LI (similarly as Olga or Emily), she is worthy of that.

at a minimum - Nina, Rachel, Sofia, Maxine and Lily are in a harem officially right now, probably Grace will be added too, Anne with amount of bitching she have - my guess gonna be another solo choice
so unless dev will pull another bullshit in a future - you got yourself guaranteed harem of 5 (6 with Grace), everyone else - most likely solo choices (love me or i'll kill myself/stay dead), not like there are many LIs remaining after reworks
by this site tag rules - it is a harem (>3 LIs at same time), no matter wtf dev was saying about removing the tag (cuz not ALL LIs are haremable) - this game does have a harem by all definitions

Anne is the starting gf right? I believe she can join your harem but there's no scenes with her yet (beyond the ones where you have your first transformation). Basically if you're on the Harem route, you can invite her and that's where it's at at this point. I haven't tried non-harem routes but I don't think there are any scenes for a "stay faithful despite separation" route.

Apart from harems being an in-game reality – going so far as being able to stumble into one's own given a modicum of infidelity – having Olga stay alive isn't as simple as you make it out to be: it requires either giving up said possible harem or not being in a relationship with anybody else. There is no 'right choice' in the latter's case. Acting like people made the wrong decision by picking Emily, or Sofia, or Rachel, or Nina, or Anne, or Maxine, or Grace, over Olga is a tad rude, in my book. Especially given you prior post:

There's no bug to fix here. Lily's arc is a deliberate design decision by the developer. You (and apparently Vidal) simply want it changed – just like some of the people being with other girls would like for Olga to stay alive. By your latest reasoning 'breaking up' (remember: not your girlfriend) with Lily can be avoided by not getting involved with her in the first place (possibly having her end up in this universe's version of Azkaban). 'Simple as that.'

During the river scene, in Ch08, there was a line where Lily "accused" mc of not defending her. This just needed a variable check that I forgot (it's fixed in V0.9).

During this scene you can choose to add Lily to your harem (IF Sofia is already part of it).
Whatever you choose (add her to the harem, refuse or simply don't 'cause you don't have an harem), during the finale you'll get to choose her as a LI.
This is the same for all the characters that can end up in the harem.

olga is projected as sngle path LI and it is messed up a bit (you have to pursue her, or to have "harem enabled" in order to drop it for her, you are right, and i did simplify things a bit, yet why not? this is the zooone!)...lily also is kinda messed up and as the dev has explained in the post bellow in that regard she isnt even a properLI during the game (at least not an single one).
thats a shame, imo, yet i can live with the dev decision.

once again imo, forced harem is the main cause why this game cant/wont be more than an average at the end.
take an example of lily or olga if you want. and lets not get for the best chick, dragomira - an ultimate shame!.

it is what it is, the dev has already improved some parts related to pretty dumb harem scenes, so tehre is always a hope some other things could be improved ofc...at the end it is his game, his rules.
i just hope he wont succumb to kn-fuckfesters and remove all shoices for "more simple" playthrough, because, ya know, true zoooners dont have time for multiple in-game paths, and decisions can be heavy, and reading difficult...

Personally, I think the Olga thing just makes the game more realistic. Sometimes, there is either no completely happy ending. Olga needs MC to be totally devoted to her, and given the parameters of the game, that isn't realistic. So one can play the Olga route, and it would feel somewhat unnatural, or he can do the natural thing and create a quasi-harem.

Its a kind of catch-22 that is more lifelike than a game that allows you to do whatever you want with only minor consequences. And, for a game about vampire, mermaids with pussies and no tails, etc., its a pretty realistic touch.
