Apologies for the silence everyone, work has been more hectic than expected for the past couple of weeks. Still too many losses if anything, but conditions have started to improve again.
You're welcome, and yes, the next update will be the conclusion of Venefica and Elly's shared questline. Venefica should be mostly, if not fully content complete, but if she does have any other planned content, it will arrive sometime much further down the road as a large amount of time has already been devoted to Venefica. More femdom and foot fetish content is essentially guaranteed as Venefica will have a footjob stance as a part of her fights and presumably will have a loss scene for players who lose while in said stance given Venefica appears to have a few loss scenes to accompany her fight. Threshold has been testing and bugfixing the fight, so we're steadily approaching the update's release.
While not much, I do hope that this is enough to tide you over until the update arrives,
SerialLain.
You're welcome and thank you very much as well. I'm certainly contemplating going on sabbatical for a year once this pandemic is under control and we have replenished our staff numbers given our losses and the fact we were already a little understaffed before the pandemic hit.
Level drain, Rebirth to reset your level for currently unknown benefits, and the challenge runs of scaled up generic enemies from other locations by choosing to explore the Labyrinth after clearing it should all offer avenues to increase the difficulty from time to time when desired once they are implemented. The third is perhaps a little more nebulous given the concept discussions, but the former two will certainly arrive eventually and provide avenues to weaken yourself and increase the challenge in-game.
Thanks again for the well wishes and take care of yourself as well,
thrownawayburger,.
Yes, the update will be focused on concluding Elly's investigation into Venefica and will even feature a mandatory fight against Venefica. She'll also have a full-power challenge fight that is optional. Now whether or not she'll have lovey-dovey content for free, whether eating the chocolates together or successfully winning her over, I couldn't say. That will be a surprise to be discovered once the update arrives. Given that it sounds like this questline can have a negative outcome, successfully clearing it and having a good relationship with Venefica could potentially be rewarding much like her reaction to eating her special chocolate bar if you have a stronger bond with her.
Worst case scenario, if you do not like grinding for Eros, you can always just use the

to give yourself as much money as you need to enjoy the content without having to farm excessively if no other avenue is provided with this update.
Thank you, glad that you like the Lillian signature. I originally just made the DO IT FOR HER sign after a request in Discord, but I decided to make a forum signature version of it as well considering how it turned out. The original release spiel can be found
here, then
here is the larger sign if you don't want to read through the release post, then Teleiah's signatures can be found

This is just speculation given Mika's story is only about 75% complete or so given statements by Threshold in the past, but that could very well be intentional. Mika may be trying to put up walls and keep herself from getting attached to anyone, so the perceived hostility may in fact be an purposeful facade to put off, or at least weed out, potential suitors. During Mika's heartbreak scene that will trigger if you visit her after selling her collar, she clearly cares and has stronger feelings for you than may be readily apparent during other interactions with her. She also seems to have some potential self-esteem issues or perhaps even been left by an ex-lover at least once in the past given one of the lines during the scene stating that she gifted you the collar to remember her by when you inevitably ditch her for someone else. Her choice of words, "so when you eventually ditch me for some other
slut..." are particularly telling here. Her gifting the collar also meant a lot to her and while it may not have been an engagement ring, it was still an important moment and action for her.
Then there is the collar itself to consider. Other than the line stating "If found, return to Mika", the collar has several enchantments upon it. It just does not improve your skills in ways that appeal to Mika's fetishes, but it also has support functions that do not have a mechanical impact. That collar has a paired enchantment with Mika's own collar and can allow her to find you if necessary, say if you have gotten in trouble and disappeared. You don't learn that when she gifts you that collar and only find out about it when her collar does not register you as having your own gifted collar on your person during part of Mika's heartbreak scene.
So during Mika's content, she is legitimately falling for you but giving statements to a different effect to convince both you and herself that her feelings are not that serious. Although, that may also be compounded with Mika being a cat what with being aloof and wanting affection on her terms and the like considering she ultimately does enjoy headpats based on the content sighing and purring but does not just want to be randomly have her ears scratched and head pet.
I could be way off the mark, but I do hope that this is food for thought on why the character may act the way she does,
destroyerofassholes.
That would depend on what issues you are having when trying to install and run the game on Android. If the game is not installing, you may not have enough free space to install the game or you may need to go into your settings and enable installing apps from Unknown Sources. The steps for the latter are as follows: Go to Settings on your phone and switch to the “general” tab if needed, tap on the “Security” option, tick the checkbox next to the “Unknown Sources” option, and confirm the warning message by tapping on “OK”.
If neither of these are the problem, then more information would be useful in diagnosing the issue and providing assistance.
I do hope that this is helpful,
Linndemman.
Sofia would be one of the ones who discusses the harsher factions such as the "enslave all of humanity" faction that tried to recruit her as well as True Succubi that still fully devour souls.
Personally, I'm still in the Vivian is a Cherub of Venereae camp as far as conspiracy theories about her go. Her attempts at playing matchmaker for various other individuals and her apparent devotion to Venereae do point in that direction, although that could be a red herring considering how conspicuous she is on both counts. Then there is also the Devotion to Vivian hidden addiction to consider. The comment in the code may say that it is nothing to worry about but considering it is an addiction fetish like the Addiction to Sofia, there is certainly more to Vivian than meets the eye.
I do hope that you find this informative,

Glad to see that you're enjoying the signature,

Threshold is looking into potential solutions to provide more immersion such as using built-in tools Ren'Py has, but nothing definite as of yet. Commissioning more art variants is not really an ideal nor an effective solution considering the time and costs involved per a variant multiplied by each scene in the game that will receive art, not to mention the thorny question of just how many variants to make and provide coverage for.
This may not be what you want to hear, but I do hope that this is an adequate answer to your question,
Dr. PuPu.
The update is nearing completion as Threshold has been testing the fight and fixing any bugs that have been discovered in the process. So barring any unfortunate bugs that require more effort to resolve or writer's block for any post quest completion content that still needs to be penned, the update does appear to be on schedule for the middle of the month.
If you are unable to contain yourself and refrain from violence for that long however, just be sure to inform me how many more patients I should expect and please show at least a modicum of restraint,
0nymous.
1. Sofia really has only one weakness to exploit, Holy Damage. The Demon Layer is the most effective method and can potentially one-shot her depending on your Virility, your critical hit chance and damage, and potentially the strength of your damage buffs and defense debuffs like Magic Touch and Sensitize respectively. You'll also need enough Technique, and possibly some assistance from Luck, to successfully land a blow as Sofia will try to evade a strike with the Demon Layer in this phase. 0nymous and Teleiah's advice to molest her into submission is valid, although you'll have to either decide to either fondle her breasts, kiss her, seduce her, play with her body with magic, or constantly caress her in order to do damage as she is only neutral to these types of attacks. She is resistant to everything else. There is also the caveat that any attempts to inflict pain on her will also fail, so Electrify, despite being Magic, will not work due to the Pain component.
Afflictions like Binds and Sleep are also useless against Sofia when she is putting forth this level of effort, so don't waste any turns attempting to use these status effects. So, if you have high Virility, use the Demon Layer and whip her until she quits and if not, use whatever is the most effective of your abilities that do not have Pain components and target either her breasts or lips or try to best her with magic, seduction, or caresses.
2. They could be from mods or just characters you have not discovered in vanilla MGD as of yet. The

has pages for all of the characters and even breaks them up into categories such as Unique Characters, those with relationship content, and so on. This

covers the various mod characters and can further help with distinguishing base game characters from those contained in mods.
3. 40 is the next breakpoint and does unlock new, powerful perks as well as certain skills like Teleport and Sleep as they both require 40 points of Intelligence to learn and Teleport does have some use outside of combat.
4. Venefica will be mostly, if not completely, finished in the upcoming update slated to be released on April 15th.
5. The Labyrinth will be the next major update and is scheduled to be after Venefica and Elly's quest content update and the mini-updates that will follow to fix any other bugs that slipped by and possibly implement certain new pieces of art as the Bubble Slime on the Mountain now has her art teaser up. The Capital will take longer and likely be released in sections as it is supposed to be a massive area.
6. Art is steadily coming together and the only character that has no art in game or teased on Patreon is Beris the Hellhound. Tabitha has her art teaser up, although her art is not ready for implementing yet and is waiting on a few more elements to come together and the currently unnamed Bubble Slime just had her art teaser released yesterday. Other than that, everyone has their character sprite art. Ushris, one of the Guardians of the Labyrinth, does have her art teaser up on as well, so she'll be able to arrive with her art when she is implemented. As for side quests, not entirely certain when the next will arrive considering this last side quest has turned into a much larger project than expected. We do know a few of the planned side quests like the Elven Village, Harpy Village, and "Dragon Queen" (really just a Dragon MILF inspired in part by a monster girl version of Kulve Taroth, so she may look regal anyways even if she is not the actual Queen of the Dragons), but we do not know when any of these quests will arrive. Certainly not before the Labyrinth arrives given how long advancing the main story has been postponed but one could perhaps land between the Labyrinth and first Capital update or be interspersed between one or more of the Capital updates.
7. Yeah, some items have uses in and out of combat and can even have different uses depending on the setting. Like outside of battle, if you use Manticore Spikes, you'll shoot them up and build up your addiction to the Manticore's venom but if you use them in combat, you'll try to use them to poison your opponent with the Aphrodisiac venom of the Manticore.
There are already stat caps as you cannot invest more than 100 points in any particular attribute besides Arousal and Energy. Now, perks and equipment can push a stat over 100 or decrease the cap if the perk reduces an attribute, but stats already have caps. As Oluap stated, it is not known how the eventual level cap will affect level 100+ players, perhaps just set their level to 100 and prevent further level up, but based on past mechanics updates and overhauls, the character may not be wiped by the update. It could be that whether level 110 or level 783, the character will just be locked in at 100 and eligible for a Rebirth and whatever benefits that will bring as your level is reset.
I do hope that these are satisfactory answers to all of your questions,
Suwi.
No plans have been stated one way or the other beyond a joke by Threshold one time about Sofia having the same voice as Yzma from the "Emperor's New Groove". It's probably unlikely given the potential payoff versus the cost and how that would also add another section of content that would require management and attention from Threshold and thus take away time from developing and implementing new content. However, this is just speculation and only Threshold can provide a definitive answer on the subject.
While disappointing, I do hope that this answer will suffice until Threshold sheds light on the subject,
Oibò.
Rapahel already shared the estimated release date, and thank you very much for that, but if you'd like more information, I'm about to share an update news post that may be of interest to you,
azraelswegul.
Now for the general update news. Since my last post, Venefica's fight appears to have been completed, so now she has lines for being hit by the player's attacks, lines for escaping from the 5 different stances, orgasm lines for skills, and so on. The fight has also been playtested and bugfixing, balance tuning, and the like has occurred as well. Threshold managed to barely clear the mandatory fight as part of the investigation at level 29 with Elly's assistance and careful turn economization and resource usage. There is also one loss scene that is roughly 1,300 words in length and another loss scene that was originally 500 words long but Threshold had more ideas for it and revised the initial 500 words and expanded upon said scene until it was roughly 1,200 words in length. There may still be one or two more loss scenes that need to be written and then Threshold needs to finish all of the aftermath for the questline such as post-victory content.
Playtesting and bugfixing took a little longer than expected today, so while the release date is still tentatively the 15th, it may be moved back one more day to the 16th to allow for everything that still needs to be penned. One notable mechanical change among all of the bugfixing is that the StartOfRound and StartOfTurn calls for both monster and events respectively are now called at the very start of combat before the player's turn. This change fixes instances like with Rosaura's edging element not functioning properly on the first turn of combat.
Now other than this, as you may have already heard or seen, an Aiko Paizuri/Titfuck CG scene has had a few variants created, namely generic hentai protagonist look versus a colored silhouette of one shade or another to gather thoughts and feedback for the eventual style to be used for erotic CGs in MGD. Now, this does
NOT mean that CGs will be arriving and implemented anytime soon, just that Threshold is now in the position to start gathering feedback and deciding the artistic direction that will ultimately be used. After this update, Threshold will be looking into Ren'Py's functions with regards to its ability to apply and shift colors. This is in the case that the generic hentai protagonist look is ultimately chosen so that players can try to tailor their protagonist to better suit their preferences. Now there is no guarantee that these functions will be robust enough to allow for the desired variance, but tests and experiments of Ren'py's functions will be launched to see if they are an effective solution.
As for other art assets, I have forgotten to mention this during earlier update news posts, but there is a teaser for Sofia's Room as well. Her bed is orgy-sized to say the least. Other than this, as you may have surmised from earlier in this post, the currently unnamed Bubble Slime encountered on the Mountain now has her sprite teaser up on Patreon. Jiffic, the artist responsible for bringing characters like Sofia, Camilla, Shizu, and the Oni Twins to life, is the creator of her art, so her quality is quite assured. Personally, I think she turned out great. Now, for those who like their girls a little more on the plump side, the Bubble Slime will certainly be pleasing as she not only has a full figure but also has a pudgy little belly to her giving her an appearance that could ultimately be called a little chubby. So if you were hoping for a wider range of body representation beyond what is already present, you may be pleased once the Bubble Slime's sprite is implemented.
I do hope that everyone interested in this update news finds this at least a little useful.
But wait, there's more! While this is now quite late, there was a new mod released on April Fools that involves Lillian. This new mod, titled The Reveal, was created by Valentin Cognito, the creator of Gren, with troubleshooting assistance by Kaa, of Beach Party and Pale Priestess fame. It is highly recommended to
NOT look at the files before trying the mod as you'll spoil the surprise. To access the mod's contents, visit Lillian and select the new conversation option. Do note that said new option is only available is you have progressed far enough with Lillian to have obtained the Demon Layer from her.
The Reveal can be directly downloaded from Discord

. Just remember that this was a mod released on April Fools before you try it.
NOTE: If you overwrite a save during the fight that's a part of this mod and become stuck in the fight, you can select Super Surrender to be able to exit the fight.
I do hope that everyone interested in modding news at least a little helpful.
