Does the ability item drop works if the character is in the party or does he have to participate in the battle?

You can also choose not to give it to anybody. Giving it to somebody, apart from raising her affection by 1000, it also gives you an exclusive accesory. Or at least I assume so, I gave it to Ilias and it gave me quite a ridiculous accesory for Luka that mentions Ilias gave it to him.
I can imagine people replaying Part 3 Chaos section to collect all accesories, if you can keep them when you replay it LOL.

Btw, I assume it's impossible to recruit the Seven Archangels or the 6 Ancestors before going to the Tartarus right? They're still stuck helping their respective leaders in my case.

A question for you, there are CGs in the picture folder that as far as I know are not used in the game, neither in the pocket castle under requests nor in the scene replay in the main menu, for example with Indora where she has sex with Luka cowgirl style and doesn't give him a handjob like normal, or with Lilith in the scene where she normally has a threesome with her sisters but there is it an alternative cowgirl scene (solo with Luka without her sisters) and then a few CGs from MGQ Origin with Alma Elma and Alice, for example. Can you only trigger these scenes in combat when they use a certain attack or are they intended for a future update?

You can also give the ring to Granberia and Alma. It's all 4 knights, Alice, Ilias, Michaela, Lucifina, and Sonya as far as I can tell. Did you try giving it to Granberia and Alma? Cause if you can't maybe there are variables and more options than I even had.
I have a question for those who finished the game. does the counter in the Logos Magia skill mean anything in the end?

Right, sorry about that, should have thought about that being a problem. I was in a bit of a rush to put the file together. Its "fixed" now. Still won't have the boat or garuda unlocked in the main world, but you can just warp where you need to go for the story.
Not really answering your question here, but to make life easier to everybody, there's a new skill in the Alchemy job (the one that is like a diamond) that I believe you can obtain from the strongest jobs, that consumes some items and will put a debuff on an enemy. If you kill said enemy, it guarantees it drops all the materials it has, 100% chance.
There's also a new thief skill that consumes all the SP and MP a character has (you need to be at max for both to be able to use it), and you have a 100% chance to steal both items an enemy has. All of them, it's the only skill that allows you to do so.
I can't remember which ones they are atm, I'm going to sleep, but they're there, and I wish they were there in Part 1 LOL.
For anyone still looking for element cores. You need to use the harpy exclusive "Steal Material" on the pseudo spirits inside Mithra Sealed Castle

Nephilim Weapon is kinda like Part 1 Sphinx or Part 2 Black Alice, and is not designed to be defeated when you first meet them. Come back later, probably after having cleared at least 1 route. When you beat her, you recruit her, and her level is 155, to give you a benchmark at about where your power should be when you fight her.
