Does anyone know if the merchant skill that gives 3 gems has restrictions? I'm strong and all because of farming jobs, but I'm in decline when it comes to gems. The gems they give or sell on both routes are garbage. I'm asking to know if it's worth spending your time farming gems that way.

i see
i did a different fresh install of the game without the bob patch, just Mtool with the Magaki translation file
and the problem still persisted
thought the problem might have be with the fonts so i installed the recommend Arial Unicode and it did change the squares into japanese characters
that's a bit better but still i have no idea why that is happening

Strange I never had this problem. Maybe a bug but they are probably something very basic and rare.

In reality with the introduction of the cheat item in 3.02 there is 2 school of way to play. You can play in paradox/hard difficulty with every fight being harder and harder or just use the item and one shot every monster just to enjoy the story. Even playing in normal, when you enter chaos route every fight become a 10 round fight where you need to use items and can wipe because the monster used a full team spell.
Or grind a lot.

I went into the chaos route for a bit to see what the beginning was like and I had to fight against Nero and Neris and I said "Nah, I'd win." They kicked my ass and after that something inside me changed and I started grinding levels and items haha

Appeal/Hide are now useless when every single enemy there is uses nothing but party wide attacks, move first half of them time and get to act multiple times any and every character you have. Fun!

Its just a skill issue if you can't beat the game. Game is very generous all you need to do is to spend slightly time in wise way, know what to farm. I already finished the game early today and it's quite late. Most of the game can be trivialized with stop time mechanic as 95% of the enemies don't have immunity to it. Start stacking gems on ur chars, its really not that hard.

I've been playing through the game using the Bob translation of 3.02 but every time I get to Micaela's scene at the top of Mt. Saint Amos the sky darkens and it locks me into the area but Micaela is just not there. Any ideas on what exactly is going on or how to fix it?

(For context I've played through the game before just fine, I got through 2.4 just fine a while back so I'm not sure if it's something with my computer, Part 3, or the Bob translation)

EDIT: Also quick question. I kinda forgot the details of the story (I mean, part 2 was what, 2017??) So Im going to start from scratch. Does this part 3 have part 1 and 2? or do I need to combine part 1 and 2 into this part 3?
