Not totally sure but if I remember correctly bob mtl already use the arzor translation.
I have pretty much no luck with the patcher from bob or arzor so most of my content come from someone who already did the work of patching the translation inside the data folder.

It's my first playthrough, right after Luka got baptized, so I don't have means to test it yet. I'm getting one-tapped playing on paradox difficulty so I'm trying to properly build characters, that's why I'm asking.

At this point i think the game itself that's bugged rather than joiplay, if you have raw japanese version than try load that in joiplay

Just downloaded 3.0.4 Japanese raw version, using latest Joiplay with combination of RPGM plugin 1.20.70 as you suggested and this time it works flawlessly, thank you! It seems the problem is as you mentioned. Wonder if anyone has the same problem with English mod here?

EDIT: It turns out it was a mistranslation in version 2.41 (which I was playing), the trait makes her use max(Att, will).

The translation has been merged with Version 3.04.

As with the previous version merge, do not use a preexisting 3.02 scripts folder; make a fresh One-Click Patcher folder in your 3.04 game's directory with the newly-updated scripts downloaded from the repository.

You need MGQ 3.04 when using this for missing graphics
For PC user
download rgssa decrypter, open game.rgssa then extract it.
Go to extracted folder copy graphics folder into game folder and replace all.
Then Rename game.rgssa into game.rgssa.old

For joiplay user
Long tap game icon on joiplay
Tap decrypt
Delete data folder and replace with mine
Then rename game.rgssa into game.rgssa.old
