The original Monster Girl Quest isn't 100% mandatory but highly recommended.
If you mean Paradox Part 1 and 2 then yes you will have no clue what is going on without them.
I consider it 100% mandatory because you're going to be completely lost every time they refer to the original story, which they do a few times during Part 2 and specially Part 3. You're also not going to understand who Nero and Neris are.
There's even some stuff mentioned in two other Monster Girl games, Shrift and The Three Charms, in which they collab with MGQ Paradox and the story is actually connected to the story in Paradox, it's not just a silly collab and that's it. They're really good games, so if you can find a copy with all DLCs give it a try.

I found this on 4chan. It's not my own upload of 3.05, but I have tested it and it works.
I think the VN is 100% necessarily for appreciating some of the biggest and most crucial points of Paradox, but the game can still be enjoyed to some level on it's own. You'll miss out on alot, including the importance of entire character development arcs, if you skip the VN but there's enough that's atleast referenced that you may be able to pick up on what's being implied.
Anyone got something for joiplay.... Long story short I no longer have a Windows machine and haven't played since the first part came out.

Finally finished the WorldBreaker route and went to NG+ to go with Ilias.
Got some questions if anyone can answer, I played part 1-2 a few years ago and forgot some details.
1. Unique dialogues from already recruited companions only occur when fighting their respective past boss fights and does not have unique lines for the actual event itself right? (Ex: Doing nameless slums with Mini already in the party makes her comment on the situation)
2. Does part 3 characters have lines for part 1-2 events?
3. Do companions that are already recruited through events have their quests resets or does NG+ assumes you already done them (EX: Saving harpy to recruit Teeny)

1. As I understood, sometimes, haven't checked yet. But mirror match quotes do occur. Tested in on Roach Queen, Black Tanuki, etc. Once I'm done playing through Ilias Route, I'll do 2 of the same routes in a row, to check and see those quotes.
2. Haven't checked.
3. Their progress persists. Only some quests in the Pocket Castle reset, but it just gives you doubled drops.
Anyone know why this happens when I open the gallery of the raw version of the game on joiplay

1. The answear is yes all of them do.
2. The answear is no they do not.
3. Since the full release of part 3 beginning NG+ from part 1 is buggy because the progress of some companion quests like Papi or Vanilla will persist. Some scenes with boss fights like Nuruko will be cutet. The affinity progress of enemy monsters will be reseted which only stays the same now if you choose to start in the middle.
The buggs where not here until the part 3 demo and as long as nobody says something to the developers that will not chance.
The some of the links of the bob mtl downloads are not working and the one that is still says 3.02 ingame.
