Since you're using version 3.06 with that bobMTL patch combo, that might be where the problem is. You could try looking for a newer version of the game or the patch, as updates often fix these kinds of crashes.

Might be the XP feature in patch folder know that could cause the game to crash with that version

Storywise it makes sense that Ilias and Alice hate eachother. In the OG game alice was literally on her way to kill Ilias, which kicked off the entire plot. There was NO way those two would ever agree to travel together. Plus character development and plot convenience pretty much demanded that those two travel separately.

Hell you meet alice for the first time after she attacks Ilias in the og game which is why she is in a crater on the mountain and Ilias does not show up to the hero ceremony because she got a visual injury from alice even if she then easily beat her.

despite both being weakened here they absolutely do not like each other and so will refuse to travel together. They might travel together in the coming new game ++ aka the one you unlock after clearing the third route if that starts from the beginning

Second Playthrough with ■■■ Mode” in Development
This mode is currently under active development and will include:

Choices unavailable during the first playthrough, thanks to the player’s foreknowledge of future events…
Characters will gain unique awakened abilities in the second playthrough mode, significantly boosting even standard characters to Ancestors or Archangels-level strength.

There will also be new recruits exclusive to the second playthrough.
Powerful foes you couldn’t save during the main story…
Characters players never imagined could join their party…
And transcendent beings who only appear in the second playthrough…

However, the implementation of this mode will require additional development time.
Several post-clear events are also planned for future updates.

Anyone know what cause this error, do I need to download the Japanese version first? This is the Bob mtl version 3.06 no compression or anything

Just went and checked. Last chapter has been released on "Apr 05 2025".

That was likely 3.06 the actual part 3 release was back in November 2024 aka the 1st maybe day before looking it up as a reminder of when it came out

True. I was too happy to see it, so didn't notice that I read "Update information".
Which also made me recall that yeah, I heard about release of part 3 or something before. But it wasn't finished? I really don't remember, it was way too long ago.

After quick check: yeah, since they added "content" at 3.06, it prob not finished. eh.
