Hey everyone, NeverEast here.
I wanted to take a moment to offer both an update and a bit of an apology.

Back in late 2021, I discovered the world of rendering—and I absolutely fell in love. As someone who's always had a creative streak, rendering quickly became the artistic outlet I didn’t even know I’d been missing. I dove headfirst into learning the craft, pouring myself into projects and developing a couple of games I was genuinely excited about: "Sins of Summer" (Dev Thread) and "Monsters & Vixens."

Things were going well with Sins of Summer—development was steady, progress was satisfying. But then 2023 happened... and with it, something I can only describe as an act of god. A lightning strike hit the wall of my home, frying my PC entirely. I lost everything. Not just renders or code, but over a decade of my creative life—10 to 20 years of projects, writing, files... gone in an instant.

It took a long time to process that loss. Honestly, it crushed me. For a while, I stepped back from it all—not just because I needed new equipment, but because I needed time to find that spark again. But here’s the good news: I’ve found it. The fire’s back—and with it, I’m returning to the world of Monsters & Vixens.

Fortunately, not everything was lost. A few files from Monsters & Vixens had automatically backed themselves up to cloud storage—just enough to preserve the essence of the project: my monstrous male lead, The Beast, and my beloved elven OC, Azryah. With those pieces intact, I made a decision: to fully commit.
I've battened down the hatches and chosen to focus exclusively on Monsters & Vixens until it's complete.

This thread serves as both a development log and a way to bring the community along for the ride. My goal is to keep everyone informed, excited, and maybe even a little involved—whether through feedback, ideas, or just general hype. I'm working solo for now, so things may take time, but the passion is absolutely there. Please note: all content shown is very much work-in-progress and subject to change as I refine the world and its characters.

Blood Moon – Side Story Preview
While the full main story is still in development, I'm using this time to build the framework and polish my Ren'Py skills by releasing a standalone side story: Blood Moon.

In this intense and immersive tale, Azryah returns from a far-off mission only to find herself caught beneath an unnatural sky. A mysterious Blood Moon rises, summoning forth a beast from beyond—a creature with one goal: to claim her as a prize.

Through a series of branching choices and interactions, you’ll determine whether Azryah resists his advances through wit and grace... or succumbs to the rising heat of submission. Your decisions matter—not just in outcome, but in how each scene unfolds.

Expect a mix of: fantasy tension. erotic conflict, dark seduction and more than a few secrets hidden in the shadows...

Q1: Will your game have animations?
Yes, but they'll be limited. I do not currently have the bandwidth or the want to try and make good looking animations in DAZ, but sometimes, I just can't help myself. Also, getting videos to work in Ren'Py at a decent quality that doesn't bloat game size is really hard, so while there will be animations, don't expect them. Recent worked animation preview so you can see the quality to expect:

Uhuuu! Happy to see you back with a project NeverEast!

Monsters and Vixens looks great and I can't wait to see the main game asap. The tags looks nice, but I can't help but see that a lesbian tag is missing. Any chance you'll add something like that? Azryah and that elf queen of yours would make a nice pairing :D.

There are some projects in the 3dx space that either didn't take off or got abandoned too fast that would have been/were great, and for me Sins of Summer is definitely in the top 3 of those.
I understand that you're focused on Monsters and Vixens right now, but any chance you will go back to the Sins of Summer idea sometime in the future?

The Blood Moon shots really look great! Can't wait to see Azryah get nailed.

The renders look great, I even made the second one a wallpaper. :sneaky:
The stories have good potential. The tags look good, I like that there is no extreme stuff.

You know what they say: Lightning never strikes twice in the same place, but always give thanks to the creators of cloud storage.;)

Any chance you'll add something like that?
Maybe in the future, but for now, I'm keeping it simple with Bloodmoon's story. This is so that I can get a finished project under my belt and open the door to future endeavors. Maybe with the main story, no promises though ;).

Any chance you will go back to the Sins of Summer idea sometime in the future?
I was so upset I lost everything with this project. I've been attempting to recreate certain characters from Sins of Summer with minor success, but if I ever did go back to it, I'd have to start completely from scratch. I won't rule this completely out, as I've still got the story ideas and what not to get it off the ground. But at the moment I just want to focus on this project.

Oh yeah, I wasn't expecting anything for Blood Moon, but in a game called Monsters and VixenS it would be a shame to not show some vixen on vixen love :p.

I completely understand, and doing 2 games at a time has always been a bad choice, even for more established devs. Just wanted to say that the non fantasy girls you've been posting since your content loss have been great, even if they aren't 100% the originals. The concept of Sins of Summer was great and the artist is still the same so I think the vast majority of people won't complain that the girls don't look like they used to.

As it's a shorter side story, do you plan to release Blood Moon in several episodes or do you want to just launch a single final version?

Bloodmoon will be a complete story when released. Updates may come to in the future, but I'll mainly be focusing on the main story once it's released to the public.

Just so a comparison can be made between the old me and the new, here is a render I had to redo, as the DUF and the post-work files were lost. So everything about this image (except the character) was redone. Figured I'd share, as I'm having to do this for a LOT of images, but its something I want to do so that everything is uniform and reflects my current standards.

Update (2025.04.20):
Happy Easter, everyone! I’ve been working pretty much non-stop on Bloodmoon this weekend — mostly because I’ve been sick with who-knows-what and glued to my PC. I feel awful, but at least it’s given me time to be productive!

I finished implementing the combat system, including the damage, pleasure, and lust mechanics, and even added a few cut-in scenes to the battle system. I figured that was a good place to pause that part of development until I reach the point in the story where it’s actually needed.

Speaking of story — I’ve been reworking older renders to fit the new workflow and format, and things are looking really good. I also added an achievement system that unlocks special images in a side gallery.

On top of that, I’ve written over 1,800 lines of dialogue this past week, some of which are choice-dependent, and it’s been helping shape the story and characters in ways I hadn’t initially expected. All in all, I’m really happy with the progress and getting excited to release something playable soon so I can hear your thoughts!
