Yeah, I need to get all my files and translations moved over for the new update. Welp, got a lot more work ahead of me. And here I thought I was out of the sex scene mines.

Looks like 15 scenes were added, so not as bad as I thought. But lots of changes in the map files which contain the story dialogue among other things, so that's going to be fun.

Getting somewhere... I don't expect the story stuff to take too long to translate. Just still kind of trudging along because the sex scenes are so incredibly... monotonous to the point I'm almost tempted to just throw all that shit at chatGPT or something. But I'm powering through them slowly (probably less than 20 scenes to go). Tentatively, the timeline is to finish up everything this month, start editing in June/July and release some time in August or September. At this point, I'm just looking to get the project done, take a break, and just take on smaller projects going forward.
Turns out backloading the one-note sex scenes in the translation workflow does wonders for your motivation. Doesn't help that I want to do fuck-all after coming home from work, heh.
Does anyone know what item we have to hand over so Nero can hear us in battle and so the boss doesn't instakill me?
Alright, some bad news. I don't think I'll be seeing this project through to the end. I haven't been able to work on it at all, and whenever I do, my interest kind of peters out within the hour. Sucks since I'm more than halfway done with the script. But once the interest is gone, it's kind of hard to get back into it.
Anyway, I'm looking around to see if there's anyone who's interested in picking it up. You can also check with dazed if he wants to do it but I think his projects are all crowdfunded now. Also, if you know someone that might be interested, feel free to redirect them here. I'm willing to hand over my work though I wouldn't really recommend using it in its current state.

Alright consider this a freebie from me in honor of Tanjoubi's efforts even though I know its going to cost me an arm and a leg. Unfortunate we won't see a non-mtl TL but we work with what we got.

This is a really bad and unfortunate news But Aren't you going to atleast post what you've translated instead and Let the Other translators picked it up? I mean There are other good translators who do a good job out there

There's nothing to feel bad about man. Manual TL has always been draining like that, but now there's even this compulsion to be better than machine translation, and you can't drag it into years to recuperate yourself either (because otherwise why not chuck the thing into ChatGPT for real), that on top of your real job? Prioritize yourself, take a long break. You did a tons of work, it's just unfortunate the real work you put in doesn't align with the size of the game so things feel unfinished.
