and we also really need the android version))) ;) (y)
That'll be a tough one any time soon.
I have mechanics in the game that don't translate well over to phones...
Also, for phones, I have to downsize all the assets, and therefore fix any absolute positioning for those assets in the code, etc.
I'm working hard on content right now, there's absolutely no time to do ports currently...

Did you try joiplay yet? It's an android renpy emulator. I hear it works for many games.

Joiplay works fine, just add "use joiplay" for the android version on the homepage

According to the thread post dates MNGF came out like 3 months before MRPL though.
That makes MNGF 5 months old, and MRPL like 2 months old. Bet my money it'll grow in audience in 3 month's time...
The best thing about being a fan is that you can enjoy the absolute fuck out of both of them :sneaky:

Also, iOS users like me, there's a Ren'Py app for us -- Spark Ren'Py Novels. It's worked for every Ren'Py game I've thrown at it (although I've only really tested a few minutes of the 15-or-so games I tested, I've only played a lot in two of them). It's like $6.99, but definitely worth it if you're looking to play VNs on your iPhone!

This is shaping up to be an enjoyable VN. It's a little crazy what AI tools can do already, in 10-20 years it's going to be scarily good. I made 3 plugins for a RPGM dev, when we were talking she told me she'd commissioned $550 worth of art; the art wasn't as good as this and took weeks to be done it was her projects main bottleneck. By the time I'd finished making them for her and making stuff another guy made compatible with Yanfly and GALV's that had risen to over $900 and the game never got released because she ran out of funds. Worked with a few indie devs (mainly using unity) run into the same problem, unique art assets cost money they just don't have so they either sacrifice and use store brought which makes your project look cheap or generic without the quality passing a look test, use cheap artists whose work leads to the same result or the project folds and runs out of steam because the money just isn't there for all the art, writing or code.

I know AI is very controversial but for small time devs it has to be a complete fucking godsend. Difference between something been viable to make and having to end development or not even start.

Damn just realized this may have better art that its main competitor....shame it gets the second chair treatment...
Between this and it's competitors this has the best presentation. It also doesn't have a glaring lack of consistency. Plus Suzie just has that want to see her destroyed by huge dicks energy, which helps.

Yah, mila has good individual visual fidelity but poor consistency, whereas MNGF has decent art but it's still up in the air as to what direction things are going.

I suppose that's a good point on ai... it's like the pre-vs-post garageband music software era- it democratized the activity where almost anyone can act as their own recording studio.

For those of you who are subs, has mr ten banana creme pies posted any updates?

I think you are correct on the democratizing part but consistency or lack there off is going to be a issue for most of these games until we get new version of ipadaptor etc for flux models. Flux itself solved alot of issues with SDXL's "feature drift" but even the models that exist right now do a good enough job... honestly i would rather they say a bit janky for a while just to give the actual artists that are still drawing some time to adapt to the new market.

I don't have an issue with AI but I also don't want to lose game doing actual hand drawn art.

Oh of course, thats why my post before I edited gave the example of how majority of soundcloud rap is shit  And real music is still better.

There's a free members devlog up on patreon, if you haven't seen that.
Other than that, yeah, I'm wrapping up development for this episode.
Sending out beta build to testers on sunday, then it's fixes and touch ups, patron release presumably next friday :)
Then hoping I can release a Halloween special 2 weeks after that :)
