Well they were a Chinese translator and I imagine it's hard to come by those. Also can't judge quality since I don't read a smidge of Chinese.
Anyway, I decided I won't be funding any translation efforts until after game is done.
15th of April for top tiers, and the lower tiers throughout that week
Hi BCG, great game and thought the way you handled the hiatus was admirable. Just to check this is what you said when announcing the break "When I stop the break, I'll be releasing an update (so no paying before update is out)".
Has that changed now? No worries if it has, no one on a pirate forum has a right to complain either way!

That might have come across as 'update will be released for free'. I meant I wouldn't turn tiers back on before update was out...
so I'll not release it for free if that's what you meant. I've poured a lot of focus and time into this update, it's about tied with length to EP3, and is probably the best ep yet as it relates to NTS content, IMO.
The intent behind that statement was to reassure supporters that I don't want to leech their money.
Meanwhile, despite me asking people to cancel subs on patreon, 300 or so of them stayed subbed for the whole hiatus and some new ones even manually set a sub despite no tiers being there...
People were asking me increasingly more 'when tiers' recently, so I reopened tiers a week ago. If a supporter joins now or in 9 days at release it makes no difference to them, they're getting the update for this sub cycle.
I see how this would be a problem if I turned them on a whole sub cycle before the release.
TLDR:
Update won't be released for free if that's what you meant (but no doubt the update will get leaked here).
Worked really hard on it, it's the best one yet IMO.
I turned on tiers despite saying I wouldn't turn them on until after update comes out.
It doesn't make a difference to people subbing now, 8 days from release.

How long after patron release is the public release? wondering if i should sub

There isn't really a "public" release. But the Patron tier (next up from tip tier) get the update 3 days after the highest tier. But I would imagine that is mostly due to the long wait since the last update and may change in the future. It used to be a week wait between tiers from what I remember.

I don't care how much a subscription costs, if the game is really cool and the story and atmosphere is still there, people will subscribe to buy and support a good game

I got BCG in contact with our guy, who has done work for both SoA and even a small amount of work for last update for MNGF. I think people will be happy with the results.
I also had the opportunity to play the beta test. It was - in my humble opinion - extremely high quality. The way BCG lays out things in renpy is really cool to me. The chapter is not only spicy but has good plot advancement and character progression.
Hopefully people support BCG, guy deserves it.

I think there are a lot of people like me here who would gladly give money to a dev, but most platforms don't want that to happen. Except Steam. That's why I regularly pop up with a comment under good games with an offer to launch early access on Steam. Steam loves any money.

Hey I get that this is an NTS game primarily but will there still be options to keep it from going that way fully and stay 'romantic'? I can see there are already choices to stop her from going too far

as far as i know the def has no intention to add "real ntr" to the game. nts/sharing/ is the main theme with lots of fun for the mc as well.
