Most of those games still lean into the fear-of-being-NTR'd type of NTS. Insecurity play and all that. Moonripple Lake has 0 of that. Instead, you get a very chill and secure couple just playing with a newly discovered kink.
it has a lot of unique features to it, frankly the reason it's so good is that finally someone decided to make an original work, not copy the same tropes that everyone else does in the genre. This game feels truly inspired, it is a work of passion for sure. This is rare these days in game development

Preferences will vary, but I believe all of the VNs below are worth checking out if you like Moonripple Lake.

In no particular order:

1. Vulgar Reverie

2. Blurring The Walls

3. Netorase Phone

4. Nyatorase

5. My Girlfriend's Streaming Career

6. Sexting My GF

7. My New Girlfriend

8. Mila AI

9: My Girlfriend's New Kink

10: Secret Care Cafe
From these I played only My New Girlfriend. I started Blurring The Walls but immediately hated the MC for being a small dick loser (the typical protag in Japanese NTS/NTR games) so I stopped. Interestingly that you didn't mention Shadows of Ambition that is quite popular. I found it very similar to My New Girlfriend, but it has better writing and better relationship with the gf (at least in SoA she does feel a bit like your gf, unlike MNGF where she feels like your fuckbuddy). MNGF has more scenes tho, I think. And I like the protag in MNGF more, despite they are very similar, SoA's protag gives off too much beta cuck vibes.

Moonripple is a special game, totally agree there. It's difficult to find 100% pure NTS games without at least options for the other stuff.

Remember that a demon-like entity has infected MC's mind/body in this game. That magic entity has already taken control of MC's unconscious body, sticking him in some type of mind prison to fuck his girlfriend. Time may lead us to new kink options in this game, too...

"Played" is a rather stretched concept when referred to My New Girlfriend or Shadows of Ambition. I would rather say one "flips pages" in them.

to be fully honest, a VN with choices can hardly be considered a game either. CYOA books were not considered games, and a VN with choices is essentially a CYOA book in digital format with some sounds and maybe animations added. So the only bit that makes Moonripple Lake a game is that moment where you have to catch Suzie in time or the captain grabs her ass

Not so sure they weren't considered games, but ok, let's say they were an interactive activity and you are totally right that VNs are alike CYOA books, i always pointed so. Still a proper VN, IMHO, is based on a forking story on the base of your choices. KNs doesn't. So, while, to some extent, play VNs and CYOAs, you sure don't play a KN or a comicbook or a novel.

With the "competing" VN's latest releases being what they are - a huge letdown in relation to the potential they actually have, now would be a really great time to release an update of Moonripple Lake that actually slaps c",)
