I was personally a bit disappointed. Up until now, I've only made decisions that just let Suzie tease me, and I completely ignored Cee in all my choices... and yet, in the end, I'm forced to sleep with Cee. Don't get me wrong, I've really enjoyed the game so far, but I personally didn't like being forced to have sex with Cee. Of course, I understand that other players see it differently due to their different playstyles during the game... but for me personally, it was rather disappointing because my playstyle up to that point was all about teasing, and the actual sex was only between the main character and Suzie, and I didn't want anyone else involved. I hope that in future updates I can distance myself from Cee again.

Fantastic update, animation was out of this world and simply the best i've even seen here. BGC really took another step mastering ai tools for that. The only minor downside is on the plot, i'd find logical to have a little discussion to settle things down after the cave, and not jump right in to threesome. But hey, otherwise the story was fantastic, buildup was the real shit and i hope you keep it up in this direction. Lots of mysteries to uncover, plus having cee moving around is a nice touch.

If it's as you say, they should remove "Netorere" from the "Genre" section and just put "Netorase" or "NTS." As it is now, it makes the developer look more like a coward than an honest one. Anyway, it doesn't matter what I write in "Genre" anymore; this is an NTS, not an NTR, and in my opinion, the game was deleted, even though it was a waste of my time.
I get you there. But those tags are mainly controlled by the F95 site and Moderator group. They do not hold a distiction between Netorare and Netorase. If the game has either it is tagged as NTR. The only thing the game Dev can do is make it clear elsewhere which type the game is specifically, if it will try to accomplish both, or so forth. Many Devs just avoid specifying so that they can keep their options open down the line.

I'm a little more perplexed by the plot, especially right after Anon and Suzie leave the cave. I mean - after that horrific encounter in the cave with some crazy people in robes, one guy literally getting his soul sucked ouf of him, mysterious Merynn power, the revelation of Jared and his shithead son being part of the cult, Silas removed from Anon and sealed - Anon just casually chills at home the next day, then proceeds to have a threesome with Suzie and Cee?

It just feels out of place.
Yeah, I'm thinking it is a dream. Cee is in the hospital and they haven't talked about everything yet. Otherwise there's some bug causing important scenes and time to be missing.

And because of this "update" you had to make an incomprehensible showdown?? Six months and such a negligible amount of content... And then the developers are offended, what can be offended here, if literally it is so small. A person has done very little in such a short period of time (half a year), and there is no question of any financial support. 1,000 paid subscribers is at least \$3,000 per month!!!! And the person has been busy with God knows what for the past six months.
I'll change my mind if ep7 comes out in a month or a month and a half, and there's a corresponding six months of content, but as of today, this update is just another Scam. I hope its subscribers know what they're doing.

Not only is all of this true, but the update is also pretty ass tbh. It's horribly written. The smut is pretty solid. But what really kills it for me is the CONSTANT teasing of NTR. Being an NTS game is fine. Roll with it. But it's like the dev doesn't trust that will be enough and has to constantly tease NTR content to try to keep the NTR subs money coming in. Also, just to stress again, the amount of content in this update for the time it took is completely unacceptable. The whole point of AI CG is to speed up development by making is easier on the dev. Get your shit together. This game used to be good.

These cases always fascinate me as a beginner dev. Once a dev starts making some serious money, they will shrink and divide the updates, prolong the gaps or just branch and branch the story.

Very few games hold on to the original energy and intent of the developer. I been on this site for a few years and seen so many potential masterpieces lose their magic.

Is it money? Time? Lost of interest? Family?

To devs' defense, its really hard to be consistent while making a game on your own. Story, dialogue, renders, critics, yeahhh, It ain't eeasyyyy.

Still, so much time, and now this update, it feels sad.

You make some interesting points. I think the game has limited teasing NTR but this update did put it out there to some extent but seemed more of a 'there is a consequence for cheating' mechanic than pure NTR.

Looking to the Dev log there were a number of factors that slowed development for this update. Animators were fired, loss of payment processing ability, and (my opinion) output fatigue contributed. But we are consistently seeing that as these topline AI CG NTS/NTR games get deeper into their narratives they are having to either split their updates into smaller allotments to stay in the 2-3 month window or extend development time. As the game grows, so have the renders, animations, and scene complexity as more and more aspects of NTS/NTR are crammed in. Add in that Moonripple is a choice VN vs a straight Kinetic.

I do agree that maybe there should be a stricter focus on "route" types even within the NTS sphere (Sharing, Swinging, Cuckoldry, etc..). Also might need to look into not over expanding the POV narrative as well. Cause if you switch narrators then you typically need to increase render counts (or reduce content elsewhere) to make it work. But not being the Dev, I am mainly guessing, might be an educated one, but still a guess.

I agree, it is tough to do. While Moonripple is amongst the top of the newbreed AI CG NTS/NTS games, it still likely does not make enough money to be a full time job in and of itself. Could be wrong but if you have to hire animators (Which all of the top 3 do currently) such eats into revenue.

I think it starts from the start. Not just being upfront on what you game is and the kink your pushing. Trying to keep your options open in this particular space may be easier for the start, but eventually you have to pay up for that. Best to know who is on board with your original intent and keep that intent narrowed in.

I also think that there are business decisions made based off of polling which has flaws. Typically, just as in life, certain groups are more prone to respond to polling unless you make it a living to got out and get the answers. That leads to skewed results. VNs make this worse by typically only asking already existing supporters very early in the game life, when their focus is on growth rather than retention. There is the assumption that lovers of 'hard NTR' will not play other games or vice versa that those which prefer NTS will not touch a hard NTR title. Which is not always true because of the below point that. Basically just because I have a favorite does not mean I will not consume and support other things. I just need to know what I am getting into from the start.

I also think that these games are finding a hurdle that vanilla did not have to deal with. NTR/NTS is broad as fuck. You have so many pathways and just because someone likes NTR/NTS does not mean the like all forms of it. We know now that most do not like all forms and have specific wants. So some games have seemingly expanded their "menu" and are now growing 'wider' as a result. Which leads to everything being 'reduced' with shorter content or no content is a specific update. A prime example is a game expanding the number of POVs it has to accommodate the above. This increases render counts as characters split from each other and so some things have to be shortened or removed entirely per update.

of course not.. its an ultra generic plot.. its obvious that ppl dont care about that part
lmao no... an ultra generic plot is high-school/college. that's like 90% of the games on here. While the dev isn't Tolkien here, the writing is better than most, for a game about fucking.

it is still generic.. and being better written than most porn doesnt mean much...

The fact thatthe otherupdates he wrote thesexy bits better than most porn gaes, does. Not the "serious" subplot...
