The vacation with mother is a stand alone game atm. If you load a old save, and trigger the vacation, once you come back, you will find you start from scratch again. So don't save over your old saves doing this.

It has been quit a while since I played the game. I think after the second quest line with the oldest sister but I am not sure.
If I remember correctly, it can be in the path not taken kind of things, in your quest log there's a lightbulb where you can see them.
It's not a quest per say, it's not part of the story. You can do it after you reach a point with your mother, if you haven't finished others quests before you can resumer them after. For exemple your sister with your father.
She's in the bathroom during the day, don't remember when exactly and also only on 2 specific days. Sadly don't remember which one.
