The impression i got is that they did improve render times, rest more technical stuff we got to wait for a more expert review.
this first test render with 500 iterations (-1 time) and 95% took 1.5 min, genesis 9, 3 lights. the janet from above, same setting with the exception of default iteration (5k), took 5-6 min up to 600+ iterations, 3 lights too.

I got many problem after updating 4.22. Viewport and iray preview work fine?

Didn't notice anything different on that and again maybe is just an impression, hopefully someone does a expansive review.

If I right understanding DAZ have 2 bundle: Premier and Base.
