Are you online when you play the game? A lot of MTL needs access to translate.

Just play the game in Japanese. The text will be in English.

On a side note, I must be missing something because I got the 'golden fingers' from the dude at the bar, and then went to the massage bar, and got a part-time job. The Minigame that follows seems impossible to complete.

The blue bar on the left gets to the top before the right one, no matter how fast I click. I can get the right bar almost to the top. Tempted to install some kind of auto clicker, but I'm guessing there's something I'm missing because it shouldn't be this insanely hard, right?

boosts to excitement work in massage shop as well. You can button mash the right mouse button at the same time. As far as I can tell you are just supposed to click as quickly as possible. I was able to just about do it without any upgrades. Maybe there is a sequence that works slightly better, but it should be doable and with all upgrades it shouldn't even reach a quarter of the blue bar.

in the gyms second room train to 60 strength, then get a permit to work as trainer in the first room. Marina will show up in the gym twice a week and you can train her.

It's really just to get to the point that you can give massages - better money than cleaning and a scene with the mom on certain afternoons. You don't need more than 70 for anything in the game.
