Fools, sex is part of story it is a required element to bond with others. Censoring it because of country or platform rules only limits its potential. I'll patiently wait for the patch or start improving my japanese.
This is a really ancient argument but I feel like most people would argue that a game like Muv Luv is not focused around sex at all and that the h-scenes really aren't important. Like sure, the 'reward' you get once you reach the ostensible 'goal' of completing one of the heroines' routes is a sex scene or two. But, can you really call a scene that take 10 minutes to read at the tail end of a 10 hour route 'important' to the route? A scene that you could easily cut with a fade to black and not alter the story in any way?People are fucking strange here... Saying some shit like "H-scenes weren't important at all in the original"
Original? You mean the game where the only headache for the mc is to choose one of the girls, start dating her and eventually fuck her at the end. Are we all talking about the same game?
Yeah, I perfectly understand that Alternative changed tone of the game, it's not just a dating sim anymore. But still, H-scenes there quite important. What about the development of relationships between the characters, is it not important anymore? I think that this is a natural development of the relationship between two people and at the same time a logical culmination.
All I wanted was for them to release 18+ version of Altered Fable, especially after that sadistic mind-fucking game like Alternative.
Yes, the person you just quoted provided you an argument you didn't answer to. Those "10 minutes" is the culmination of your relationship with the heroine you've chosen. Sex is pretty much the most important thing in a relationship, that's pretty much why 99% of humanity entertains the idea of a romantic relationship. But, can you really call a scene that take 10 minutes to read at the tail end of a 10 hour route 'important' to the route?
Oh look at this highbrow individual who thinks that part of a story and character development are not important cus in this scene, they have boobies in it.This is a really ancient argument but I feel like most people would argue that a game like Muv Luv is not focused around sex at all and that the h-scenes really aren't important. Just take a look at any of the games on the front page of this site. Those are the kinds of games where the 'h-scenes are quite important', okay? Like if such an obvious contrast didn't exsist people wouldn't say anything but there is a clear difference between a 40 hour VN that happens to have one or two h-scenes at the end, and, you know, actual overt porn games where the h-scenes are the only content. In a VN the h-scenes are kind of not the point at all and most VNs wouldn't suffer without them.
Not too sure about other stories, but altered fable is meant to be a therapy to what happened. So it should be OK at least on that front. Will this give me the feels because I don't want feel them feels again By feels I mean people dying horribly
Cute game to PSTD game.I still dont really understand what's going on in this series.
lol you are making my point, not yours. All of those 30, 40, 50 hour+ games could have the sex scenes entirely cut out, or slightly retooled so that any important 'character moments' in those scenes still happen just in a different context, or just turned into a fade to black - with zero loss in the overall structural integrity of the story. Because, just like you said, the point of these kinds of games is not the sex.Oh look at this highbrow individual who thinks that part of a story and character development are not important cus in this scene, they have boobies in it.
Did you ever play Deardrops(30h), If My Heart Had Wings(50h), Kara no Shoujo(30h) or it least Dies Irae(50h) ?
It is a lot of games out there that don't concentrate on h-scenes but they are still important as a part of the story.
And by the way, are you trying to cosplay doctor Pavlov or some shit? Talking about some staff like 'reward', not everything revolves around jerking off, its not the point of these scenes. It is quite immature to think that way.
But what that I know right? I am not some high intellectual person who is a true fan of the game, am I right?
PS: If someone tries to tell me that the plot is very important in Altered Fable and the whole point of the game is not about datesiming girls and having hentai fanservice, you're either stupid or mentally ill.
I mean... You just showed me that you didn't understand anything. Your argument can be applied to any game, literally any game, but this does not mean that the argument is meaningful at all. Yeah, I do not dispute that you can cut out anything from any game and replace it with anything that you want. The only problem is, why did the author include these scenes in the first place if the game was not sold at the expense of sex? It turns out that such scenes were introduced into the game for a reason is it not? Cus all these games that I listed are not Nukige, then why do they need sex scenes in the first place? Why don't they all have all ages rating or 17+?lol you are making my point, not yours. All of those 30, 40, 50 hour+ games could have the sex scenes entirely cut out, or slightly retooled so that any important 'character moments' in those scenes still happen just in a different context, or just turned into a fade to black - with zero loss in the overall structural integrity of the story. I'm not trying to be an 'intellectual' or a 'true fan' or whatever garbage here, I'm just making the (what I feel to be pretty self-evident) statement that a game like Fate/Stay Night or Muv Luv sell sex, sure, but they don't sell sex in remotely the same way as a game like... *checks front page* ... "Goblin Burrow".
It's the romantic relationships, which culminate into sex, which is the most important part of the relationships in the first place, meaning that you're wrong again.the point of these kinds of games is not the sex.
okay sure you're totally right 'If My Heart Had Wings' and 'The Maiden Rape Assault - Violent Semen Inferno - are totally games in completely the same genre and you are definitely not delusional at all. It's the romantic relationships, which culminate into sex, which is the most important part of the relationships in the first place, meaning that you're wrong again.
Yeah, i guess i see one of them...there's some realy frustrated and delusionnal virgin in this thread ><
i have a question, is there actually sexual content in the original version of photonmelodies ?
(because there's 15+ and all age only on the site, don't look like much sex going on there :X)
Only "Before the shimmering time ends" from Altered Fable and it have some h-scenes but photonmelodies ver is the port of it on ps3 so it have many censored scene and no h-scene.So, the Chronicle parts aside (because I'd have to go trough Chronicles first), is this just a part of Altered Fable? Or is this the entirety of Altered Fable, just with the H scenes cut out?
