Dev is retarded when it comes to saves. He's changing the script in some way (like deleting .rpyc files or labels) or updating Ren'Py.
However, if you keep a save from each previous version, you can still pick up from there. Not ideal, but better than starting from the beginning.
Edit: actually, just checked. The last version is using Ren'Py 8.1.1 and this new version is 8.3.3. So that could also be the reason.

Nope until the steam release expect the saves to break. That's what the dev mentioned.

Welp the update broke all my saves so yay but anyway. As far as dom route goes its pretty solid. I dont care for Max at all and it seems like that was the main focus of the new update which is meh. I honestly wish there was more Theo stuff involved.

I think this game is awesome and the update was very good.
Dev is one of the hard working ones, so Congrats!
And for those complaining of broken saves, either save often (it only breaks in certain parts),

in the gallery you get to fuck her in the ass, after Max came in her. I didn't play the cuck path yet so I don't know the context between her and the Max path to see the context behind everything
