Good question, I saw the same thing. There was new content for me in this latest update, so maybe the message "end of episode 8" is just a type-o?

i wouldnt say type-o because i make a new save every new scene, so i loaded the scene before the "end of episode 8" image but still didnt work.

Maybe my message was confusing. I think the dev meant to say "end of episode 9" in the last render but made a mistake and put an 8 there instead - or - the dev recycled a render used for the end of ep 8 and forgot to change the number.

possible but i realised after i sent that message that it might be because i was using the multi-mod on v8 and not v9 and it worked but still said end of episode 8 after i finished the new content, but i believe it might be beause this was part 1 of episode 9, though i could be very wrong.

Generally speaking: Don't use a mod that is not having the same version as a game! Either it won't work, break stuff, or won't show new content beyond it's version.
Some mods do work with newer game versions, but those will inform of this!

Now for this game.. the last scene in version 9.1 is Sue giving a blowjob, if on Dom path and she's blond, if she is a redhead it's something else entirely and could end the game depending on your choice. If she is blond however, you can pull her close, hug and kiss and it say: End of version 8.. though it should say version 9.. but that can be because it's only the first half of chapter/version 9?

I only recently started to play this game but it seems updates are fairly quickly like every 1-2 months or so.

So, I suppose it's safe to say that the next update will release somewhere between January-March next year, or maybe MBD will release episode 9 part 2 on Christmas, who knows. There are a lot of games that will have an update on Dec. that i'm looking forward to, so I honestly would prefer if the release is on Jan.-Mar. Only played this game up until Lucia tried to blackmail Randall, so i'm not really attached to this game that much yet.

Because walkthrough mode attached on the main page blocks your way to the 9th chapter due to changes in script.rpy
