"What?!?! Hah...hahaha...hahahahahaha" - Me playing this game after reading the title

This was a joke to play. I would call it mediocre but insulting would fit better. I thought this was a game about overcoming being bullied but this guy is the luckiest "victim" I've ever seen. The worse thing that happened was some 2nd grade teasing. "Oh boohoo they called me names and made me fetch stuff but I actually want to do it"...that's what this boils down to. What soft loser calls that bullying? That's as much bullying as me being a bird. In fact the MC comes off as a weak-willed crybaby who wasn't even forced to do those things but he did it simply because he liked the girl that was "bullying" him.

What makes this even dumber is that 2 of the 3 girls liked him and one had sex with him...excuse me? Apparently he was teased for being overweight but somehow is still a pussy magnet. How can you root for the MC when he was never an underdog? "Fought your way through heaven and hell"...No you didn't. Don't oversell going to the gym and not eating a 5th donut. In fact for a "victim", even being fat, his life was pretty great considering he's a huge dick slightly chubby virgin that gets girls while having zero charisma and pornstar cardio. I like how the dev states that this won't be a revenge game but lets be real...what sort of revenge can you take on someone that called you piggy, one that did nothing to you and another that took your virginity? If anything it would be the most petty shit ever and I would be too embarrassed to play that route.

Pros
- Girls are attractive albeit the generic stock faces you see using these models. They all have the same face as well with only the hairstyle changing so very lazy. Only character that looks different is the mother.

Cons
- Story: Weak attempt of portraying the MC as a victim of bullying when he's actually a pussy magnet simp that created problems for himself.
- Characters: Generic characters with "tragic" backstories you can't really sympathize with. All the girls are damsels with the MC being the only glimmer of hope...bleh
- Choices: Non-existent. Just caters for relationship scores. Only choice that really matters is when you slam the door in their faces and the game ends.

All in all, this is not a story about bullying. Hell this isn't even a story about overcoming adversity. This is a story about a salty loser who didn't get his way but still decided to follow his crush around like a lost dog because she made his dick hard. He wasn't doing anything against his will...he chose to be there. The fact that this entire game would cease to exist if the MC just had a crumb of self-respect and said "no" is hilarious.

I have to say, this story turned out way different from I initially thought it would. There's a pornwha with a similar premise that's a lot goofier than this. MBIML, as I'll call it, is way more wholesome and heartfelt.

As everyone has talked about, Ep. 5 will hit like a truck if you're not anticipating it. It is very singularly focused, so it's different. I wonder if there will be a dedicated episode per girl.

If that's true, I think people are going to be panicking if they have to break any one of the girl's hearts.

Definitely a good read and worth experiencing.

Honestly, the premise didn't really attract me, and I didn't think too much of the title, but the animations and the graphics really caught my attention. As I played through the game however, even though I absolutely loved all of the animations and the renders, the story really got me, and I have become fairly attached to the characters (my favorite girl keep on changing!).

The only problem I have is the preset incest romance. Though I have no problem with having it in a game, and you are given a choice to reject her advances very early on, it just isn't really to my liking that something already happened between you in the past. While there is also the option to change your relationship to "roommates", the way the game is written makes it very obvious that you are siblings. Other than that however, I still think the game is excellent.

Also, 10/10 cried like a little bitch in Chapter 5.

If the dev will keep the quality of upcoming chapters then it's a game worth supporting.

One of the best vn we have here. If you are looking for quality and quantity then congrats you came to right place. Surprised with astonishingly less number of reviews for this one. Nice renders, story is unique and well directed. Love the emotional and psychological transformation of mc as the game progressing. Frequent and consistent updates are plus point that seems to be rare these days. And looks like honeyselect and animations both are match made in heaven.

Wonderful game, I'm a big fan of HS games and you done an amazing job, great story, great musics, beautiful and cute girls, I'm looking forward for more updates <3.

My Bully Is My Lover isn't bad by any means, it's actually quite decent. But there are a few problems I personally have with it.

1. Despite the title, the girls who supposedly bullied the MC in the past never actually really bullied him. I am not sure what the developer considers bullying but trust me, nothing they did would scar anyone for life. They maybe made fun of him, but calling it bullying is a massive stretch. This alone is a let down because the premise could have been a lot stronger if they actually seriously bullied the MC. You also later find out that one of them was forced to ''bully'' the MC by her mother which is really far fetched.

2. The pacing is odd. You are forced straight away to be in an incestuous relationship with the MC's sister (you can choose to not accept her feelings, but the MC and sister have already had sex before that point) Also, every girl you meet in the game gets a lewd render shown as a transition not long after being introduced which kills the suspense of when the MC actually gets to that point for real with any of them.

The game has pro's, though. The girls themselves look really nice, have distinctive personalities and the dialogue is rather decent for the most part (some of it can be a little on the cringe side) and while I do like the premise a lot, I feel that it could have been executed better. I would give this a 3.5/5 stars but unfortunately you cant rate that way so 3 stars it is, as it stands.

_Edited my rating to four stars now just because of Episode 5, it made me really emotional and invested in to the story. If it keeps being of the same quality as episode 5 moving forward, this will be a 5 star VN in no time.

Excellent game, well written, the story is very enjoyable, same goes for most of the musics. I must say this is very enjoyable to play through. Each girl is very unique in her own way, I can't wait to know the end of the story. Gwen is still my favourite tho !

Not a big fan of some of the models - especially Freya, but overall - not bad. One of the big pros - the game has "a story" and written in decent language. It's not just another some dude fucking dumb cock-hungry sluts, but there's some story, some background (beleivable background) behind each one. Nice one. Definitely recommend.

PS. As for preferences: Gwen is the best one...

I like the art. I like the attention to detail. I like the 3-dimensional characters. I really enjoy the layered relationships and plot lines. While a lot has been revealed already, there are still several relationships that hold the promise of more revelation.

I think I am in love with Emy. And Gwen. I could be a happy man with Gwen and Emy, although I suppose Aine could hang around to cook for us, and I will pay her with headpats.

Wanted to cry right at the end of Chapter 4. I am a big softie. The attempt to reconcile a love that is probably lost, or at least escaping before her eyes, implied tragedy like that turns on my waterworks every time.

i finally had time to play this game and I must say I love illusion games! I hope more developers who use it make more games and get more attention.

The models are very pretty and attractive, also, the detail in renders and backgrounds and lighting are very good. The dev put a lot of hardwork into it.

I also like that dev is following his own path in the story, as there is a wide audience that likes it. Some people may expect something different but everyone has different tastes and what they look for in a game! I think it has a lot of potential and it's great that relationships are developing between characters and I'm sure there's much more to come.

Not everything has to be hardcore, revenge, douchbag mindless games. Those games are easy to make. I like that dev tries to show different sides and there are deeper meanings to first impressions.

I'm sure more drama and twist are coming and more development because it's still an early game.

In short I really like it and had a good time. Very refreshing and I'm sure it will continue to improve and gain support. Check it out and if you like illusion style art this is definitely for you!

The nicest word to describe this game is potential. The most harsh word to describe this game is mediocore. Neither good nor bad but filled with potential.

Putting aside the fact that the game in unceremoniously short, it's biggest flaw is it's story. This is a massive problem when you realize that the story itself is the most important part of the game. The pacing of the story is simply too fast. This could work to the advantage of the game when you consider the fact it is still in active development; but it simply doesn't work. Overall, there is no true underling story. And the story that the game does present is boring and very shallow. I understand that development for the game has more or less just started, but the initial few months of development and releases are the most important in order to capture the audience and create a fanbase. I believe that My Bully is My Lover is currently failing at both.

The overall concept of the game is very interesting and I haven't really seen one similar to it all in the landscape of 3D Erotic Games. It has the potential to be good. Even then, I feel that the game doesn't truely grasp on to its unique concept enough in order to make it thrive. Events that probably should be in the game based on the concept are not in the game. In its place are a strange series of events and charecters loosely connected through a very underwhelming story

Of course, not everything in the game is bad. The models look good, albeit a bit generic. The animations are great and run well in the game. Theres nothing incredible about them but they are good. This is a pretty big compliment as a lot of these types of game have problems making the animations run bug free. The sexual content itself is... fine? There are no major kinks or fetishes that the game incorporates (which is ok) but the actual smut is nothing to write home about. It works well if you're looking for a quick fap but there is no build up to the sex and, as a result, doesn't feel rewarding in the slightest.

I believe that the game needs a complete redevelopment and rework of its state in order to make the game good. Whether it be a new writer or simply improving the game going forward.

Overall, in a sea of 3D Erotic Games, My Bully is My Lover doesn't stand out in the slightest. It instead drowns in its mass of mediocrity; an awkward state of being neither good or bad. Simply existing. A game revolving around the importance of story fails at its story and its artisitc merits sadly don't make up for it. I don't see the game changing substantially in the future based on the current product in hand. I would recommend it for when you wait for a better game to download.

I really like this game. It is very sweet and the girls look very cute. Very nice art and a wholesome feeling. Only complaint is its too short. I am waiting for more episodes and I'm hoping for more content with gwen and aine.

Well, this was... surprisingly mediocre. But I'm still excited for future updates.

TL;DR:

• v0.4
• Deviates quite a bit from the introductory piece
• The Graphics and Animations are very well made.
• Story is only starting to unfold but there are already quite a few problems with the way they tell it
• MC doesn’t seem to have any personality whatsoever
• Gets quite boring the longer I play
• Less and less lewd-content put into each update

First the good:

The Graphics and Animations are well made. I like it, when a dev takes the time to make locations look realistic. Unlike other games, that place a bed without blankets or pillows in an otherwise empty room and call it "the bedroom", this dev takes care of detailwork. Sounds small, but it goes a LONG way in making scenes better.
The girls and animations also look nice. Especially the animation paths, which don't make the MCs dick go half way through the womans body, because it not only goes in-out, but also up-down (because it's glued to the males hip).
Only problem I have with this game is the storytelling. It just feels like the dev set a premise he abandoned halfway through.

What the game claims to be:
"I was BULLIED and went through HELL!"

What the game actually is (by the end of v0.4):
"They called me names and had sex with me, so I dropped the Junkfood and started to exercise!"

MC was "bullied" in Highschool by three girls. Meaning: They called him "piggy" and send him on errands. That's all. And turns out, one of them actually never did anything to him, even had sex with him, for which he somehow blames her now... And another one was like a servant, only doing what she was told to. So it was actually just one of them. And even while she did it, his love for her was stronger than his anger, so he still cared for her deeply the whole time.
I have to say: Either, whatever they did wasn't bullying, or we are playing King-Simp-Maximus.
After Highschool he "pushed through heaven and hell to change". That seems to be code for: He hit the gym... That's it. That's all he did.

I'm sorry if this sounds insensitive, but I've seen bullying. And no 16-yo kid who is being bullied would take the time to lovingly comfort their bully, when they see him having a nightmare. It's all contradictory. That's just bad writing. Maybe change the game's title to: "The slightly mean girl had circumstances".
By now we have seen several flashbacks to his highschool-days, and the guy never seems anything more than mildly annoyed by the girls “bullying”. When they move into his house, he just accepts it. When they ask him for things or favours, he just grants them. He never even tried to stand up to them, seemingly because there simply wasn't any need to. And yet, several characters talk about it like some horrible shit happened to him he would have needed to be protected from.

But that brings me to my main problem with this: It gets boring!
It’s like playing a member of the student-council from some Anime… only those guys are usually side-characters without any need for personality. And now you conquer the girls’ hearts using the power of headpats and nonsense-idioms. The bullying seemingly doesn’t bother him, because he’s long over it. His dream girl is a hard-working woman. And when Gwen tells him the standard teenager “I want to be free”-Crap, he tells her how it’s sometimes good for you to be restricted. He’s like the pinnacle of an obedient Straight-A-Student, trying to be his best for his helicopter parents.

Everything going on in the background is WAY more interesting than following this MC around. Now there are hints to some other guy building a harem and happily impregnating women. We learned about this while our MC had his kitchen sink fixed... And for the player, it really feels like there is less lewd-content delivered with each new update.

But that is all the bad I can say about this game. So I'm still looking forward to future releases, just to see where this is going. But I’m probably going to pause a few releases before starting it again.

A game that's seemingly decent at first glance with quite interesting and fleshed out characters with decent but often "over the top" backstories.
What really brings it down for me though is the very weird and unrealistic dialogues between characters and the bonds that they seemingly form with one another after one or two short interactions.
If more detail would be put into a coherent story with somewhat belivable conversations this game could be so much better.
This is a common theme with this developer however so I'm not holding my breath hoping for much improvement.

Edit after Episode 3, score reduction by 1 point as all the negatives are still there or have become worse, improving this game would not be hard so the lack of dedication shines through.

Choice feel impactful despite the fact that it is a VN. The dialogue is very well written and softhearted in a nice!

Definitely one of those feel good kinda games that just so happens to also have some really nice quality lewd material as well!

I spend around one hour playing this last night, it is short, but not bad
Personally I like those girls cold in appearance but warm in heart (like Aine), they are so attractive when they show their true personality
I can't deny that it is really really cute when Aine grabs mc's hand on her head again while sleeping, I like that part very much, i don't mind if there are more stuffs like this.

Generally, it is really not bad in all aspects, though still many things can be improved. Well, I will analyze this game from several parts
1. Graphic Design
The designing of this graphic is quite nice, though the animation can be improved. But I think this is acceptable.
2. Characters
Well, for those three girls (Aine, Gwen, Emma), I like them a lot (especially Aine), they are really cute, like interaction with Aine (I like patting her head)

While for the two little girls (Sky and Freya), I think they're more like little sister than lover to me, so it is hard for me to feel romantic being with them, and actually I am not interested in fking them (though I know others like this a lot)

3. storyline
The storyline is acceptable, but I hope there are more interactions and romantic stuffs between them, not only focus on sex, as they are just like a fking machine without love, so with these two things combined and make an equilibrium, it is already an appealing game
(well, if some guys like sex that much, I recommend them some porn sites rather than playing these games hehe)

Good Points
+ Sex scenes are animated and our animations are well-made. Their physics and quality are good and don't look like cheap ones. And yeah they have different animations, angles, and positions too.
+ Our art style looks pretty good. Especially Naomi is a fine piece of art I should say ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
+ We have some references from the other two certain games and as far we know DEV told these games from the same universe so it's a little bit interesting if you played the other two games as well like me.
+ We have a well-written story.
+ We have well-written and interesting characters. For example, Emy's childhood version was soo darn cute, I love the part she writes those things to her mother. Or the scene Emy and Annie crying together with saying: ''Whaaaaaa! Huwaaaaaaaa!'' was the cute, sad, and funny same time. I was smiling but had a little bit of wetness in my eyes as well. And truly cried when I see the scene she is reading her mother's letter. And Emy's love against MC... That's something I can call true love despite I don't believe in true love in real life at all... She is the best girl in this game, the one who deserves to be loved most... And Lily's track and field story about her past? It was beautiful. Currently, I'm not sure but I'm feeling like the first 4 episodes and later ones were written by different people.
+ Episode 7 was... Wow... Learning all those things about MC, his past, and seeing Yuna and Assasins... Well... What can I say? It was interesting that's for sure.
+ We have cool musics, especially ones from episode 7 were pretty cool.
+ With episode 7 sex scene animations became far better, especially Emma's scene was pretty good. It's had good light (It wasn't like old ones, dark and hard to see, etc), good physics, a lot of position/angle, and good FPS value. But keep in mind you gonna see some bad sex scene animations until episode 7.

Bad Points
- It's good to see a connected story and the same characters from the other two certain games that's for sure but sometimes it feels too much and can be boring.
- Sometimes it feels like the game has too much text and image-based story and so less lewd stuff and that can be boring if you are looking more balanced game around lewd and story stuff. We need more balanced content for lewd and story stuff that's for sure.
- Some girls will take your interest with their character but you gonna found them unattractive and sadly just had to leave their path and don't play their lewd and romantic content like Freya. I mean yeah, she is interesting but her face looks unattractive and kind of looks like she is 45-50 years old or something. I guess her body is for people who are into the ''legal loli'' thing but at least her face could use some change.
- MC is an interesting guy for sure but his nose and mouth can use some change as well... His nose is too small, it's too round and his mouth looks genuinely weird.

For The End
I should be honest here: the First 4 episode was just ok. It was nothing more than average, and not special. But Episode 5 and Emy's past was special, and then we saw scenes about Lily's past in episode 6, and again it was just great with every part. And that's the reason why this game became one of my favorites and I'm giving this star rate. My rate was 3 stars before but episode 5 exceed my expectations, episode 6 didn't disappoint me and carried the good things we got with episode 5 and gave me all that emotions... It was great, sad, cute, and heartwarming... So I'm gonna raise my star rate and hope DEV will make the same job as episodes 5-6-7 with new episodes and fix bad points I wrote.

The story is absolutely the most romantic and gut wrenching Ive played so far, maybe its just me or maybe it has to do with the great choices of music for each scene? Probably both.

The music adds so much and I found myself jamming out on more then one occasion.

I also have to admit that I legit cried during the beach scene.. the combination of romantic atmosphere and music just hit me.
