I had this issue too, I think it's fixed if you use a framerate limiter.

how exactly does one do that?

It's so sad that the quality is so ass. I like everything about this genre, all this game needed was proper character models/animations and it would've been a very valid Shota title with mommies.

The fact that when you steal the items at the store the game tries to punish you is a really nice idea that plays around the "being a bad boy for mommy" trope.
