one of my Ideas was to tell this guy with the Megan/Maddie issue, to swich of the Relpath from the Menu and replay from the last save before the ominous Phone calls.

Is "My Dorm" a fictional game inside the "fictional game" My Residence?

No, I didn't mean that. I meant that, if having an issue, it's better to start a fresh install. Perhaps they have corrupt files from v.0.15, so they would drag those files forever if only installing the patch.

To be honest, I didn’t attach much importance to it, because I thought this episode was mostly for fun and there were no choisable options in that dialog. But then it turns out that Megan, “unplanned” by me, was brought into the story even then, although, as I said, I did nothing with her earlier.
Do I understand correctly that a relationship with this girl cannot be avoided? Is this "hardcoded" into to the story for some reason?

You won't have a relationship with Megan, but she, like Samantha (or any other girl outside the family) if you don't pursue her, will be a family friend and show up from time to time. No dates or sex with her, though.OK. A bug is a bug, nothing can be done here.

Oops!
Just spent 30mins figuring this out. At the point where Saira arrived at the home and was wondering why MC was referring to Martha by her name and not Mom. Didn't have the patch at first, but still didn't work after DL. So I restarted thinking something may need to be set in the beginning. Still no working. So restarted again, this time I answered the questions instead of loading part 1. It worked. Came here to see if there were anyone else with the issue and saw about the button. Guess it was on Clone until I answered the family question. That's what I get for not paying attention.
PS: Thanks Dev for the character sheet on the side. I forgot all who is who at the start.
Just tested the windows compressed in this post and it still freeses at the same spot.

v0.12 is the end of Part 1. Save at the spot the game tells you in v0.12. And download v0.16.3 there you can import the save from Part 1.
