Don't know how did that deleting need to look where at while thinking post WTH Thanks
I've noticed on my mobile, for this site only if I've multiple tabs open, close one the next one will still show the same url at the top, so I have to like scroll the window up and down a bit to get it to refresh with the proper thread url... It's very strange and has caused me to almost misspost in the past.

There is a major crusade against all thinhs slightly sexual in the US right now. They really be trying to set themselves back a few hundred years.
It's not like this is a new thing ... Seems to happen somewhat every decade or so, but yea ... *sigh*

Yeah it just sucks I can remember when you get a Playboy or Penthouse at the convenience store that didn't have the paper wrapper around it so it didn't show anything. We need to back to the days of peace and free love
Then you could only find them at liquor stores or gas stations behind plastic boards hiding the covers except the titles.

Yeah and after that most places you couldn't get them at all. Hell this one store went to had a small adult video collection in like a 10x15 room no door or anything Beta and VHS 2.99 or 2 for 5

Not to turn it into a religious discussion (really, let's not), but the religious right in the US (where I live) really does try to change the way other people live, and it's a bit disgusting. The 60's and 70's were a far better time for open love and relationships.

The good news is, that group is aging quickly to be replaced with more progressive (i.e. non-religious) people, so I expect it to turn the corner in another 20-30 years. Until then.. buckle up.

The religious right really don't understand Christianity though. They fail the principle tenets of it - The whole, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Case in point - They will order others to live a certain way while digging in their heels about being ordered to do anything. Hypocrites, the lot of them.

If they were really Christian they would let everyone have their own private relationship with the Eternal if and as they so choose.

Religion has been co-opted for power as long as there's been religion. Doesn't matter the religion.

Christ made friends with the poor and destitute while washing the feet of prostitutes. The modern Christian right wants to criminalize those 3 groups.

Unfortunately, it is the people of the "Flower power" period who are now dying out. And these are people who remember how to think for themselves.

TBF it's more the payment processors pushing the crusade so they can operate in countries where certain types of porn are literally illegal, if not all porn... But yea the US is on one of those puritanical downswings unfortunately, and we never seem to be able to tamp down the elements that trigger them... It's a shame this is such a fragmented ecosystem, the only way to make sure we have spaces where we can do what we want is for devs and consumers to both reject spaces we're not welcome.

But unfortunately collective action isn't something people are good at, even when directed--it'd take a real cataclysm for it to happen organically. It looks like we may be on the precipice of one though. I'm only supporting one dev on Patreon and that's cuz I really like what they're doing... everyone else is on SS. People just don't care enough to make sure they give Patreon as little of their money as possible.

Also, as I've said before quite a few times now, they don't even rely on adult dollars anymore. Most of their revenue is from edgy political and video essayist content now. We don't even have the sway to sink them like tumblr or force their hand like OnlyFans anymore.

That’s bullshit.
Everybody knows that's bullshit, but my page has been closed for 3 days. Let's say I lost 10% of my monthly income if they extend every suscription for those 3 days. A small income dev can't file in court for that 10%, even less in another country. I wouldn't even do that if they closed the page indefinitely because I'm sure I would need years of lost income to pay for a decent lawyer in the US.
That's their main weapon. They can close pages with impunity because no one will denounce them.
