I will not participate in this discussion. Too many times it has been said that one of the girls is ugly or disgusting.
Since I don't share that opinion, I don't have much to contribute.
What I will say something about is some of the choices of sentences that have been made:
* That scene downgrades the game from 4-5 stars to 2-3: I cared about star ratings at first. They were a source of frustration. No longer. I care much more about civilized dialogue with players than what any player who hasn't expressed their opinion on the forum says in a rating. Many times, especially with negative ratings, I have no idea who is doing them. Most of the time I have not interacted with them. I keep reading them, it's a way to learn, but I don't care if they give one or four stars.
* One woman masturbating spoils another's route forever: In the game you don't see Betty masturbating (unlike Emma, who no one has complained about). It is HINTED that she is doing it. Maybe her swimsuit was itching, I don't know. Following the restaurant example, it's like saying I won't go back to a restaurant because the table next to me ordered broccoli. I'm not going to eat broccoli, but I'm so offended that others ordered it that I'm going to stop going to my favorite restaurant. logical?
* The player should have control over what happens: As I have said many times, My Dorm is (or tries to be) different. That makes it not for all tastes or for all players. I'm proud of it. The player controls what the MC does (only some things, obviously). He is NEVER going to control what the rest of the characters do. If someone is offended by Jamaal's jokes or that his favorite food is fried chicken, that's his problem. If it bothers him that Martha touches the MC's dick while he's sleeping, there's a conversation about that after that scene. If it bothers him that Emma masturbates or that, in the woods, she ignores what the MC says about where he wants to cum, he doesn't know Emma. If you're bothered by anything about the characters, I'm (not) sorry. Characters are like that. They evolve. Sometimes evolution will involve things that some players don't like (Scarlett's second hairstyle, for example). But the decisions and evolution of the characters are not in the hands of the MC, because their lives don't orbit around the MC.
This post is not a direct attack against any player. With this post, I want to make clear my position as a developer. I accept advice and suggestions and, those of you who follow this thread or are on Discord know this, many times that advice shows up in the game. But I don't accept ALL advice. If I took all of it there would be NTR, sharing, hardcore domination, etc., and many of the characters would be unrecognizable. Physically and on a personality level. I want our characters (yes, ours, mine and the players') as they are.
