the dev will update the game in about 7-8 days maybe, he usually grants access to the new update to the high tier partrons first and about every 3-4 days it decreases by one patreon tier. last time it took almost 2 weeks. No hero for you cause the game page is checked by the game author. You better pay up or wait the relealase from him. Bunch of freeloaders...

Honestly, I disagree with this. Imagine having to pay at least $ 10 per month just for an update. The last update was from two months ago. Add up every update, and the amount you have to pay is large. I suggest that the devs make a one-time payment, or else people won't be able to afford it. If not, I would rather be a freeloader and wait for a hero

Isn't this a model? You pay for early updates, that's it. I thought everyone knew this.

I totally get it — I’ve been in the same situation. There was a time when I was spending over $200 a month on memberships, supporting every developer who seemed promising. It added up fast, and after about a year, I had to pull back.

Now that I’ve got a bit more experience, I’m a lot more selective. I only support a handful of projects at a time, and I usually keep it under $5 per dev.

That said, no one’s asking you to pay $10. The creator is releasing the product for free — which, let’s be honest, isn’t something you see often. You just have to wait a little. If you really can’t hold on for another week and a half, the option to pay is there. But as you said yourself, you waited two months for the update — a few more days shouldn’t be a big deal.

And honestly, this is one of the few ways we can still support this kind of content. Everywhere else, it's getting censored or diluted. So if you truly enjoy these games, be smart about it — don’t complain or make things harder for a niche scene that’s already hanging by a thread.

Yeah agree. I just already used one one-time purchase on Steam, so this kind of payment is not really for me :giggle:(y)

Yeah, that's why it's so expensive, I am more of a 1 time purchasing guy.i don't really have any problem with it though maybe cause I am poor :p

I get where you’re coming from, but I think you’re looking at it more from a transactional perspective than a support-based one. These are indie devs in a pretty niche space. Sure, some do surprisingly well, but most are balancing this alongside full-time jobs or other responsibilities. The monthly support model isn’t just about buying a game. It’s about helping support the development process itself. Without that kind of support, a lot of devs would burn out or end up abandoning their projects. Plenty already have.

Most people would be surprised how little they actually make when you factor in the amount of time and effort that goes into it. This is just the standard model for this type of thing. You support through Patreon or similar, and in return you get early access, updates, and the ability to help the project stay alive. But you don’t have to stay subbed forever. You can just subscribe for a month, check out what’s new, then cancel and come back whenever you feel like it. Or you can wait and play the free public version later. No pressure, it’s just how this ecosystem works.
