Because you have an AMD video card, that is why you are limited to CPU rendering only. DAZ is unlikely to change that anytime soon.My RX-580 8gb graphics card does not show in the software View attachment 2359171

so i have to buy another video card from different brand?Because you have an AMD video card, that is why you are limited to CPU rendering only. DAZ is unlikely to change that anytime soon.
If you want the GPU to render instead of the CPU you will need an nVidia card, preferably nothing less powerful than the old 1080Ti. It would be better if you were at the RTX30xx or RTX40xx series cards. I worked for about two years with dual 1080Ti in SLI. It was slow, but not nearly as slow as CPU only. Now with a RTX3090, I can do a 3000+ iteration 5K render in about an hour, using GPU only.so i have to buy another video card from different brand?
What do you think about buying a mining rig with a motherboard with 12 GPU inputs, I would start by buying 2 RTX30xx video cards, so maybe both cards will work faster in renderingIf you want the GPU to render instead of the CPU you will need an nVidia card, preferably nothing less powerful than the old 1080Ti. I know this information sucks, but there is nothing that you or I can do to change this situation.
Misconception on how SLI/NVLink works in DAZ. Let's say you have a 3090Ti, it has 10752 CUDA cores and 24GB of memory. Now you decide to add a second 3090ti card, with its 10752 CUDA cores and 24GB of memory. DAZ will use those two cards like this: 10752 CUDA cores and 48 GB of memory. It won't be faster but you could load more textures in your scene and make more complex renders, or larger renders without running out of memory.
I am not a fan of mining rigs, too much power usage and not enough cooling. But as the kids all around me say. 'You do you!'
Rendering will be faster with an nVidia GPU, but it won't be faster with two nVidia GPU's. Save your money and get the best single GPU you can afford. Thanks for help, I thought the rendering would be faster
