RPGM - Completed - My Girlfriend's Amnesia [Final] [Daniels K]

Somewhat liniar gameplay, not that difficult, but with an interesting story and a lot of choices to make.

Some of the story made me angry as fuck, but that's cool too

Somewhat glitchy - it sometimes just stops working so make sure to save your game a lot.

You can't set it to fullscreen, which is annoying!

And the player menu is just weird with the RPG interface, but that's just details.

I enjoyed the story, the characters and the NTR.The animation was well done too. Loved how every decision you made really did have some kind of consequence that you’d have to deal with later on. I enjoyed the multi choice ending. This was the first game from this site that I completed and it left me trying to find other games to fill that NTR void. Hahahahaha

Very original storyline.

The characters I feel could have been developed in a more in-depth fashion.

The sex scenes overall were well-done, I enjoyed them. The NTR scenes can be avoided, but were well included in the story, it was not some NTR scenes just for the sake of putting NTR scenes.

One major criticism that should be mentioned is the ending.

It felt so rushed, and the "good" ending is actually a bad one. I don't usually mind bad endings, I actually preferred the original version of The Little Mermaid over the Disney's one, but it should be logical and the story has to slowly and slowly develop into the bad ending, which is not the case here. The ending can make or break a game, and it left me an incredibly bittersweet feeling.

Started quite interesting and promising, but soon enough it was clear the project didn't had any real goal in sight, turning from a game about juggling a relationship with the possible start of an affair, into a mandatory affair with NTR scenes that became more and more the real focus of the game.

Technically the game is ridiculously badly implemented, and gamebreaking glitches were a constant issue, the images are pretty good, but the scenes lack any description or narration, so after a while they feel empty.

The story depended on the suspension of disbelief from the get go, but it got worse in the last day, when the important reveal about the amnesia's origin turned out to be a massive disappointment, making it worse in that, while all of your actions prior to the last day were ignored on the basis of the girlfriend forgetting said events, in that day suddenly she could kick out both the MC and her sister, without any of them pointing out that the next day she wouldn't remember and things would remain stable.

About the endings, most are pretty sudden, just explain a couple of things and show you a video, the girlfriend's good ending is supposed to be a cliffhanger, but for the most part is an insult to the player.

Play it if you want to see pretty images, other than that, avoid like the pest.

The game has a very interesting story but the ending i wanted was not done good at all even with a modded version. The game is full of NTR and some heavy rape scenes but all of them are avoidable but one.
Besides them issues this game was enjoyable!

Really enjoyed playing this game. Was much different than anything I've played. I don't really liked the RPGM aspect, but oh well. The graphics were great, as were the love making scenes. Really loved the idea about the three different endings, and the deep development of the characters. The story line was quite impressive as you had something new to do every single day in game, with the continuation aspect included. There were lots of opportunities presented during the gameplay, to meet up with different girls and do all kinds of crazy stuff. I have to admit, in the end I got too emotional - about one ending, my favorite - and literary shed tears. All the endings gave me the same thrill and excitement as well as chills down my spine. Gorgeous game, really worth your time. Took me about 10 hours to complete and check out some different scenarios and all the possible endings.

One of the best game i have ever played.
Story is awesome. There are some "ntr" scenes which are not good , but i didn't mind coz' i liked GF's sister from the beginning. Ending with GF;s sis is awesome.

Anyway just going by the good guy story, and the sister story, and the nympho virgin story the game is a 4/5 stars from me. Good graphics, didnt mind the RPGM unlike most that hate it, loved the animations, LOVED that their were moaning sounds accompanying animated sex scenes. Cute and not overly "glamour beauty" characters, and interesting concept for the plot.

i did the good guy route (only this route with NTR disabled, skipped all the "extra" girls) getting full hearts everyday (super easy) and holy sh*t, when the other reviewers talked about how awful the endings can be, they werent kidding. my god, i want some amnesia right now too.
aside from that, the sex scenes are pretty bad, just a loop back and forth of 15 frames with no difference in pace or movements, just back and forth for 30 seconds.
the story was mehh and REALLY underdeveloped and i kept going just out of curiosity and because the sisters look really nice (great models/lighting) the other girls/characters didnt received the same attention and can look really weird.
it was enjoyable until the last 10 minutes, but not in a fapable way xD.
i really cant recommend this one mostly because of the ending and how bland the sex looks.



SPOILER: i went back into the final dialogue choice in the game and selected the other option that goes completely against how i played the entire game... lo and behold, it was a way (WAY!!!) better ending, which actually makes me even more depressed about the other ending...

A difficult game to rate. i'm quite conflicted with it in a lot of ways! personally, i would rate it 2.5 stars, but the rating-system won't let me do so. therefore i rounded it up to 3 stars.

even though the game is almost finished (some endings are still missing), the rating is just avarage. why, you ask? 'cause the developer missed a lot of possibilities to improve the game.

but let's start with the story and what you are actually supposed to do.

you play fairly young male adult who lives together with your girlfriend, a red chick. something happened and she lost her memory of the last few years (involving you and how you two met each other). the doctor says, she will lose her memory every day AGAIN, meaning, she will forget all the shit you've done with her the day before. the doctor sends her back to your house and tells ya to enjoy your life with her from now on. to make things worse, her sister comes to visit you two and live with you two... and she has a huge crush on you. so you have to "nurse" ya girlfriend and handle her sister in one way or the other. but wait, that's not all. a detective, fully in black mind ya, visits ya and tells you, that the car accident your girfriend had (the reason why she lost her memory) might not be an accident at all.
and now you can finally play the game and start doing shit.

first things first, to break the ice, the story with the detective is just bullcrap and isn't really relevant in the game. therefore i won't mention it in the review anymore.
the game itself plays brutally linear. most of the time you just have to follow "sprinkles" the game layed down for ya and talk with ONE SPECIFIC person or do ONE SPECIFIC thing. it often comes down to talking with the girlfriend and her sister. either choose to be nice to the girlfriend or be nice to the sister. if you are nice to your sister or are an ass to your girlfriend in general you will lose hearts. if you are nice to your girlfriend your gain hearts. simple. the game therefore offers you two ways: be a complete jerk or be the best man in the world. there are also side characters whom you can spend your time with (and even have an own ending with them). at the end, you decide with whom you want to live with. and yes, ofc. you will lift her amnesia and, as always, there will be a plot twist. but you will find it out right at the beginning who the heck was the reason for the memory loss. so let's skip this shit and talk about pro and contra.

pro:
1. the game is almost complete and that's a relief. most games just get abandoned, but this one actually made it. hurray!

2. between your "duties" you get some sidequests. ultimatively you get to fuck some, and i have to be honest here, weird chicks. one girl want's to be fucked in diapers (o.o) and the other one looks like the adams family and has a spider tattoo on her breast (o.o?!). i'm not even sure if it's really a good thing to have in a game, but fuck it. you can fuck girls without affecting the story or just leave it be. your choice.

3. the story. the story is just avarage, but still better than the typical porn story featuring the pizza delivery boy ^^. in fact, the story has lot to offer but the developer didn't use it properly, which is a shame (more about it in the contra section).

4. saving system. works good. i can save everywhere. i also have a lot of saving slots which is a nice have.

5. option menu. neat and useful. you can tell the MC to run faster, you can turn off the NTR and you can let the game wait a few seconds before the text appears.

6. animation. the renders are avarage to good. pubic hair looks gross however and not really realistic. other than that the developer made sure that the skin of every girls has marks on it, beauty marks for example to make it look more realistic. the animations look fluid but aren't that appealing most of the time. either the camera angle sucks or the way they are fucking looks... weird. at least the girlfriend is shaved and doesn't have a bush that looks like a swarm of worms like some other girls in the game have. overall it's a slight plus, but we will also discuss it in the contra section.

contra:
1. bugs. damn, this game has a lot of bugs. i didn't encounter any gamebreaking bugs but quite some confusing ones. either some sprinkles are on the ground even though they shouldn't or you suddenly see two sisters or girlfriends. talking with them suddenly let's ya jump to a conversation a few days ago... and ofc. you have to play from that day on, doing all the shit again you've already done a few moments ago. my advise: ignore 'em. and once i also had a copy of my own MC ran after my MC. weird, i tell ya!

2. story. i said it before, the game has potential, but the developer didn't use it. apart from that, logic issues are involved too.

one of the logic issues: when you find out via video that the hospital helper molested your girlfrined while drugged, the MC makes a copy of said video and wants to run out of the hospital. the helper ofc. finds out what happens, punches you and destroys the cd after deleting the vid on his pc. after some punching in DA FACE, he gets arrested but gets free, 'cause you don't have any evidence. what bullcrap! everyone who is capable of using a pc knows how to retrieve a deleted data from a pc. they are NOT vanished. you have to shredder 'em. a simple click to delete won't do. and even the dumb police knows that. BATSU!

the way the sister of your girlfriend reacts when you want to go outside while it's raining is just strange. the game doesn't tell you in any way why she is behaving like that (being all suspicious and all). i guess it has something to do with the twist at the end (don't want to spoiler you), but it's just way too far off. it's like telling someone to not look at a ketchup factory, 'cause he is allergic to tomatoes...

now to the possibilites:
you either have the good route or the bad route ending. if you have more good-day endings you get the good route ending and ofc. the other way round, more bad-day endings results in a bad route ending (which is actually quite dissapointing). at the first day you make a video with her, to make things easier when she wakes up the next day not knowing who the heck you are. first possibility thrown away... even though the developer changed the outcome of the video depending on the route you chose (if you are nice to her she will credit ya in the vid as being nice, if you are a jerk she will say that you are obviously a jerk). it just won't effect the story or your gameplay AT ALL. you can be a jerk at first and than be good all the time and you get the good route ending even though you are depicted as a jerk every day right at the beginning.
another possibility thrown away is the incestous stuff that occurs between your girlfriend and her sister. the sister wants you... but also likes to screw her own sister. so instead of coming up with the idea to be in a triangle relationship and live happily together as a big perverted family, the only thing that this stupid sister comes up with is, telling your girlfriend that you are gay -.-. an the MC is even dumb enough to play along, jesus christ.
next would be the jerk route... i personally am not a huge fan of controlling other people, but fuck it. the game offers it, so i tested it out. and damn the developer seems to be some sort of whimp. if you really want to implement a jerk route, fucking do it the right way. the developer even wrote a nice start for a good jerk route where the MC could control his girlfriend like a slave. at one specific day, when you choose the jerk route she tells ya that she doesn't care anymore if she gets fucked against her own will and so on and so on. perfect time to film her again to make her understand at the next day, that she is just an obedient slut and her boyfriend is her master. but instead you just get to do some shitty bdsm sex with her and sleep with her sister while she knows it... that's it. what a jerk route, lol.

3. the sister. for fuck's sake that girl is annoying. it doesn't matter how often you are telling her to fuck off, she always tries it again. ALWAYS. and no, you can't throw her out of the house. so many attempts are so fucking dumb and the way the MC behaves is as dumb. that guy literally has no balls at all. damn annoying!

4. content. you get a lot more content when you play the jerk route. it's quite a joke what you get during the nice route. you have to fend of the sister at all cost and be nice to your girlfriend and as a reward you get some light porn. meh. whats worse, it doesn't matter if you are nice to her all the time or be a jerk, she will ALWAYS betray you at first sight when you choose an option that leads to NTR. and it's so unbelievable how easily she falls for other men xD. after dancing with a guy in a police uniform she will fuck him several minutes later if you don't interrupt here. just wth?! the MC doesn't have a girlfriend, he has a fucking whore in his house! it would make (more) sense during the jerk route but not when you treat her like a fucking queen all the time.

5. the porn itself. while the animations are good, the porn doesn't most of the time. sometimes you have stupid camera angles, often enough some small things like the pubic hair that doesn't look like it and gross ya out or the girls simply don't look too appealing. most sexual positions aren't creative either, which is a pity. to sum it up you get some weird fucking that sometimes looks good enough but mostly makes ya feel uneasy after seeing it it's just a strange feeling. difficult to explain...

6. rpg platformer. not a huge deal, but i heard that it annoys quite some people. you run around in a style of some upgraded final fantasy for snes. not too appealing, not that handy to play (having to jam doors open, an unnecessary menu with equipment and stuff that you will never use) and limited when it comes to triggering stuff.

puh, i guess i covered almost everything by now. one more thing however, the sound. it's up to you if you like the music used ingame or not (only in certain scenes). i personally don't like this wanna be try hard disco music. but it's a matter of taste.
overall the game has a lot of potential but the developer just didn't use 'em properly and seems to be quite dumb at storytelling even though he has a nice foundation for it. what saves the game out of it's misery are some (but not all) render pictures as well as the animations, even though some girls are really not too appealing.

therefore 2,5 stars.

I'm so conflicted. It's a 4 star game in terms of story, gameplay and graphics. It's a 2 star engine being RPGM. Having to click on doors and have the screen redraw constantly, pauses between every scene change (and many dialogue boxes) is just not responsive enough. I strongly advise the author to take their considerable skills and efforts to RenPy. In RenPy this would be 4+. As it stands now, it's still porn zelda but that's only the authors fault in so much as they selected RPGM.

Now that the game is considered "completed", I can give my opinion about it. I'll probably write something too long, so be preparedt ; I'll also list what I consider the "pros" and the "cons".
A note, before anythingelse, do not take the game too seriously. If it starts on a serious note, the development and the story are sometimes too dumb to be taken seriously.

A quick summary of the game:
The main character you're playing is a man living in a small town full of creepy people. Your girlfriend has a car accident and ends with a "rebooting amnesia", which means she loses her memory every morning for an unknown period of time.
Your role is supposed to take care of her, and guide her, until she gets her memory back. In theory.
In fact, the game is more a cheating simulator with a dose of NTR (can be turned off) where everybody tries to fuck with everybody, leading to some weird situations.

Now the good and bad points!

< PROS >
- lot of sex scenes. Let's be honest, we play porn games for porn
- models are quite nice for most of the female cast (gf, sister, Betty...and so on)
- different endings based on your behavior
- player can be a good guy or an asshole
- gallery
- NTR can be turned off, thanks for that

< CONS >
- the writing is between mediocre and awful, with several gapes and plot holes. Some situations and decisions are just stupid. Same goes for the characters' actions.
- the main character is dumb as a brick
- RPG Maker! The game doesn't use Ren'Py. Which means saves/loads are restricted, awful game-design, no "skip" option...and so on
- the main antagonist is half-jedi half-wizard. He's everywhere, all the time, and definitely has superpowers like mind trick and teleportation. There's no other explanations to how easy it is for him to stalk you
- all characters are freaks or creepy, even the "clean" ones. Especially the detective
- not all endings are good...Far from that
- grammar issues, easily spotted even for a non-native english speaker (like myself)
- only one main music for the whole game. Some scenes have special scores, but most of the time you'll listen to the same one


So my final note would be 2 stars, mostly because the games' flaws are just too obvious (story telling is meh, poorly written, characters are dumb and don't feel "human"...and other stuff I listed).
Too often I facepalmed or just laughed because of how stupidly the characters act (special mention for our protagonist). In the middle of the game I lost all interest toward the girlfriend because of how the story and the situations are written, which is a shame since she's supposed to be the most important character.
Also, the game would have been better under Ren'Py, as a visual novel.

Give it a try if you want to, but keep in mind the game is almost a dumb joke, that started well with some "emotional elevator" before falling into stupidity and incoherence.
Keep also in mind that not all ends are good or rewarding, especially the "good guy" one (yes it can be considered as a spoiler, but I think it's important to warn you).
But the creator already announced some DLC (urg...!) for that ending.

My Girlfriend's Potential NTR With A Side Of Amnesia And A Horrible Ending: The Game

That is what this game is, and what I will now refer to it as. This game has an awful ending. The kind of ending that makes you want to slam a hammer into your screen when you're faced with that ultimate sense of dread and denial when the game finally flashes back to the title screen, with the first words coming to your mind being "THAT'S IT?!" followed by the hammer smashing through to the other side.

I'm starting to wish I had amnesia right now so I could erase this awful game from my memory and not have to live with the consequences of having ever learned what happens in the end. The only reason I'm giving it 2/5 and not 1/5 is because the game (besides the horrific ending) is a solid "pretty good".

If you actually decide to play this game, STOP playing once you get to the last day. Trust me... You don't want to play further. You do NOT want to end this game. If this game was a book, I would suggest tearing out the last 10% of the pages and you'll be better off never knowing what you missed.

For those who actually heed this warning, you will know the last day has begun when the player wakes up and your girlfriend is running out of the room. She will scream really loudly, so there's your confirmation. The player character will say "What the...". This my friends; is the exact moment you will want to click that friendly little X button in the top right.

And that's about it. I tried to keep the review as constructive as possible, but it wasn't easy. It feels like this game punched me in the gut, pulled out my liver, and ran off yelling maniacally while making fun of me for ever playing it. It's insulting.

Story/writing:

I've played a ton of wank games over my time being on the forum and even before. MGA by far is one of the most fleshed out and interesting games I've played in a long time. With twist and turns that I honestly didn't see coming. Its not without its flaws though, one of which being the main characters mortality fluctuating from scene to scene. In one instance he doesn't even want to see his girlfriends sister half naked. But in the next scene he will happily nail a random girl in her car. Overall though the quality of this story is steps above a lot of what I have played recently. Some spelling errors here and there but nothing unforgivable.

One thing that killed me about this game and kept it from being a 5/5 for me was RPGM. I know it gets a lot of hate but It does work in some instances. But the more I played MGA the more i felt Ren'ply would have been better suited.

Renders/Animation/Sex Scenes:

My god is there a lot of renders in this game. Coming in at 4GB before compression this game is hefty. By no means does that mean there is quality loss. Characters don't have that plastic or glossy look. There are little details in the models that shows there was clearly work put into each model. That being said the facial expressions leave a little to be desired. Overall though the renders for everyone is great. I cant think of one I didn't like.

The sex scenes mostly take place as short animations that you have the choice to loop again. This is a disappointment for me. The renders are so good and models so excellent that it is hard to not hate such short sex scenes. That being said there are a LOT of fetishes covered in this game. With a lot of opportunities to do the nasty. That being said the animations are pretty alright. If this was a smaller game length wise id be a little more harsh but overall I got my kicks out of it.

Summary:

My Girlfriends Amnesia was a pleasure to dump a couple nights into. If you are looking for a game with a wide range of fetishes and a lot of high quality renders this will be the game for you. The RPGM element doesn't require grinding or fighting so if that is keeping you away have no fear.

The game is interesting. Proper design, real appropriation of RPGmaker.
On the other hand, the choices are a little too basic, and the story ends up becoming a little confused because of the daily breakdown of updates.

good game overall with immersive and interesting story.
i like the NTR in the game i think it makes it stand out from the other games so it's not the usual MC gets all the girls like in the majority of games. however, i am only giving it a 4/5 stars because i have encountered a few bugs (but nothing serious), and [SPOILER: i don't like that the accident is just an accident with no plot twist, it was a let down for me]
the story feels rushed at the end, maybe because the developers are in a hurry to start their next project which i'm looking forward to.
in my opinion i think the game needs :
- better animation
- more dialogue during scenes
- better UI
although it's a bit too late for that now since the game is almost done i hope they improve on those points in the next game.

Rated excellent for some great NTR. Well done gameplay, excellent graphics and intriguing storyline. The fetish part of it is good as well, though, BDSM content is lacking in this case.
In future I hope the author would have better NTR with forced content, with other characters as well.

This game is not a 5. The others are ignoring it's flaws.

-This is a VN but using RPGMaker. This is bad because you waste SOOOOO much time running around instead of making choices. You can choose the option to speed up walking, but it's not on by default... WTF why not always make it walk fast.
-Game rarely crashes if you try to skip dialogue to fast...
-Game has bugs, like markers of where to go but are accidentally left on the rest of the game, so you get confused where to go.
-NTR is a hot topic. My problem here is that this is not NTR or cuckold, this shows the girlfriend raped over and over. The MC never knows about it, but you as a reader can read it, which is really bad. NTR is supposed to be about a feeling of jealousy, but this makes me mad at the game author who miss used a flag for it. This is more of a rape fetish, which is fine but it's not NTR. (Personally I hate NTR) This doesn't even use the rape as a vehicle for the story, it's just smut. Very disappointing.
-Faceless main character is a huge problem. You are generic. No story attached to you really, you are just a human dildo.
-Lack of player agency. There are times were the game tells me how I feel. NO, that is wrong. I choose how I feel and then pick an option that best fits my feelings. This is a major flaw in how these games work.
-The real main character REALLY is the girlfriend, she feels realistic enough to be immersive, though not really realistic. She is what this story is about, not the faceless male lead.
-The sister is in between, she has character and as such is better than the MC but she is so unrealistic that she breaks immersion, and the bar is set really low.
-ALL other females in the game are generic fuck dolls, lacking any true character, and only meant to be fucked.
-Female bodies are all the same, though they uses different skins maybe? They look 24ish with way above average breasts (DD-cups). While they look good, the lack of variety is sad. HUGE breast lovers are left out, while petite chicks are left out as well. The author could of left the sisters as is, but made other females in town different...
-The animations are better than stills, and is a real draw. They are not professional level but a high amateur.
-The story is acceptable. It is going somewhere, and not just a pointless fuck fest. Saying that, it could have been better if he stuck to the story more and less focus on random fucking of every women in town.
-Game has sound which isn't annoying. Bonus points imo.

3/5 Game isn't bad, but has problems and EVERYONE rating this a 5 are ignoring a ton of issues. I can see a 4/5 if you like this version of a rape fetish but no where near a 5.

I love the game been playing it from 0.4 if I'm not mistaken, since then every update was satisfactory and quality did not dim. The story is engaging though if you as a player looking for max realism this might not be for you but if you can close your eyes on some stupidity or irrationality then you will enjoy this game a lot. And lets be honest if these kind of games were realistic they would feel dull.
If you see NTR in the tags and think I better skip this one, I would encourage you not to.
SPOILER: The only scene you would not like is the scene at the hospital's elevator. Where your girlfriend gets used by her ex-boyfriend and yet further in the game you punch him in a face for what he did. END. Why I said that you won't like only one because all other NTR scenes are optional, moreover, NTR is off by default except the scene I described earlier.
I won't say the animation are perfect, I think they lack angle variety and quantity but I still enjoy it a lot. Pictures one of the best out there in my opinion,
I enjoy the game and recommend it to try it out.

MGA is surprisingly good on RPGM engine and it dont force you to endless, boring explore or grinding. Its VN like any other but you walking from to place to place to trigger new scenes.

BTW. I love renders quality ( i dont know why other shitty renders graphic games have more popularity than this game) and content amount per update. Another thing is NPC - they are not SO FUCKING DUMB like in other games - for example mother from Big Brother (dude is telling her mother that he cant fap becouse his hands hurt :test: ) Even episodic girls have their charm and good story with good renders.
