You can fix it with the console. Goto the classroom in the morning and "show screen sophia_atschool".
IIRC there are two different interactions with her in the classroom.

The bug where the mom's first event plays when you call/text Mia is not only still in the game, but has been ported over to Olivia when you need to call her on the night of the tournament.

You fucking serious Kyle!? You're meant to fix a bug not spread them to other parts of the game!

Yeah, I don't know what's going on. I started a new game and tried to main line Ava's story but every time I get to the part where the hint says "I feel like I'm making a real connection with Ava. I should see her at the gym again" she's never there. I redownloaded the game and main lined her story and I'm still having the issue.

I think that's the end of Ava's content for chapter 1. After the track meet, she’s available to hang out. Also, the quest can be completed after the meet in the gym, where you can also meet Josy, who you encountered at the track meet in the previous chapter.

Ok, so you go to the game folder, script.rpy, search "show screen sophia_atschool" , and do what?
Edit: nvm I figured it out, you have to change the text above it "sophiaphase2interaction1 != 0" value to 1. Thanks for the fix

It's been a while since I've played this but I remember there being more content with Ava than there was in the version I played when I made that comment. So either the dev removed content for whatever, which is possible, or the game is bugged.

charlotte is bugged so her ch 2 end can't be gotten to and several of the scenes in ch 2 are place holder, it progresses their quest but the side characters have just been neglected.

Okay so ava is not popping up at the gym in chapter 1. Uh oh..Sophia is gone too but I saw above the fix for that which isnt really working. Changed the value to 1 nothing changed. Is there a specific time I'm supposed to do it? Oorr..

Edit: I got Emily during the track meet, but can't take her to go shopping at the mall. Does she have no scenes there? Ooor am I missing something...cause I got both Charlotte and Emily options for the track meet.

Nvm it may have changed since last time? I went around and unlocked everyone after that. BUT, still can't get Sophia since she is basically non-existent in the game lmao nowhere to be seen.

Some girls have one extra scene you have to see before they are available for shopping at the mall. Olivia is one, you have to see her scene at her house before she can be brought along on the shopping trip. Not sure if this is new or something changed by dev or yet another bug.

Gonna give it the benefit of the doubt and say it's new. But Sophia being nowhere to be seen is...a very big bug

You should be able to talk to Sophia in the morning, but you may need to rename the script file to "script.rpy". When I was adjusting the money value for working, I found that it didn't take effect until I changed the file name.
