i yearn for the day when someone will make a tall buff girl VN that's not exclusively for the hyper-maso crowd. i'm not even 5 minutes in and i'm already disappointed in the MC, the dialogue, and myself for reading it

edit: i will say that it's truly a mark of genius that i legitimately can't tell from the dialogue if the dev has a really good or really bad relationship with his mother lmao

I will make a summarized, spoiler free, walkthrough for any future players:

-Agreeing with Minami on everything leads you to the "Good, Canon ending".

-Disagreeing with her will lead to a thighjob scene. Agreeing with her there and continuing on her route without disagreeing after that will lead to the "Good, Non-Canon ending".

-Continuing to refuse her will lead to the bad ending.

Agreed. Kinda weird how the author tried to make the mc finally growing a spine after 30 years of being a wimp lead to a "bad ending"

I don't think that is what the bad and good end choices were. What you heard from the other women made you doubt the very foundation of your relationship with Minami. Minami presented a plausible defense, and you have no way of knowing if what she said is true or not, so it is up to you to decide to believe her or not. If you rejected that defense then it makes sense that your relationship can't continue any more, as its very foundation has been shattered. It also makes sense that both you and her will be very affected by the breakup, as it was pretty clear throughout the game (and outright stated in the good ending) that, however this actually started, it developed into both of you having strong feelings for each other, and each of you making the other happier by playing your role and revealing your hidden feelings. And of course it makes sense that if you accept that your relationship will be stronger after weathering that storm.

That was really weird, yeah. The side headlock picture had the dude's leg muscles bulging like a bodybuilder, which made no sense considering the story and his background. No clue why the artist drew him like that.

I honestly wanted to like this. I don't though because of a lot of surrounding things. It has nothing to do with the story but the main things that bring this down a lot:

1) The menu is atrocious. You can't tell what you're altering in the settings, I have no idea if I have skip read text on, all text, if it skips to choices, if it skips over choices, etc. The backlog disappears at a new scene cut, which I guess can be okay, but it kinda defeats the purpose of a backlog. On top of that, it always is at the very START of the scene, so you have to scroll a ton to get where you are.

2) You can't hide the text box/text. Art and stuff looks great, too bad you can't appreciate it with the exception of 2 second "appreciation" moments where the game hides the text box for you.

And actually, that's mostly it. But those are a big deal. Not being able to appreciate the art and having a menu/UI making it so you can't change options is annoying, especially since I wound up skipping unread text which is a huge no-no when trying to play a game with multiple endings.

Yeah, the engine was indeed really bad. Not sure what engine it is even.

As some said, that growing a spine = bad end is just... Wish there was a bit of a neutral ending then or at least one where its the good end with "mommy" but MC actually shows effort to "make mommy proud." Missed opportunity for that being the third route, which would've rounded the game out nicely.

You didn't even address the point I made, my guy. My point was it was a glaring missed opportunity to fit the sort of desire a lot of people who initially saw this game would've really liked especially given the theme, its not really well rounded. Its either capitulate or lose her, which is unfortunate.

Its just a short VN game in the end, I think you're reading more into it that its deeper than it actually is (its not).
