VN - Ren'Py - My Husband's Boss [Ch.2] [SC Stories]

Just incredible. The game strikes the right balance between telling a realistic story and still having hot scenes. The scenes are paced shockingly well and the dev (as others have said) is really good at visual storytelling. Renders are good (though not top tier), and the writing is also excellent. I don't usually like kinetic games but I thought this one was pretty good.

The dev also seems to have an actual story planned out instead of the 'yeah I'll just stitch random scenes together as i go' type stories that seem to be prevalent, which I don't necessarily mind, but this is refreshing.

What impressed me the most though (and made me want to write a review) is the amount of content for just a v0.2 release and that the dev isn't making any money off this, so you know its a passion project (nice!). Definitely looking forward to seeing where this goes.

The dev here has real skills in visual storytelling. Renders and model posing are top tier and there is excellent use of auto advance that works well in the kinetic format. The visuals are so well done at times that I felt like I was watching a TV movie and was wondering why I turned the sound off. Dialog is also on point. The dev has a nice sparse writing style that is a pleasure to read.

So why the low rating? It's because all this effort is squandered on the most tired trope in the genre- namely the predatory asshole boss, spineless employee & the employee's hot wife. We've seen it in countless games and often done better. Here financial problems are meant to be the incentive, but the couple don't have very severe financial problems. Instead, the wife throws herself at the boss immediately without even token resistance and makes no believable effort to hide the cheating.

The way the dinner scene plays out is absurd; it becomes a marathon of sex with the husband listening at the door while the wife babbles about hiding it from the husband. Essentially at this point the dev throws away any sense of slow burn realism or pacing he seemed to be aiming for and transforms the game into a sort of low grade French farce without the comedy.

As a corruption tale, it doesn't work for me when the protagonist is corrupt from the get go. The wife's guilt later in the story just felt fake. As to the husband's humiliation, it didn't seem to matter since the dev never convincingly established any real basis for the couple's relationship and by that point I had lost interest. In short, the dev has talent, but the game is a disappointment.

Conclusion:

When I downloaded this novel, I thought it might just be a novel like all the others, boy was I wrong. The story is about a wife trying to help her husband keep his Job, and the way it is told, it just puts you deep into the story, and even making me feel sorry for the wife and husband, just like if they where real. The animation is outta this world, and the faraway scenes, you can still see what is going on....Just like at the Garden scene with the husband looking out of the kitchen window, almost got me chocked up,
The closeups are so fantastic that it gave me goose bumps, the animation was like watching a scene on TV...Damn.
The Audio in this Game is very realistic, which was the first time I turned up the volume, because it normally gets on my nerves.
Hope to see more this in the Future, this is now my No.1 Novel...Period.

This is over all well done but, my only complains are

1. the story's sex scene feels rushed. I don't mean the sex itself but, the husband realizing that his wife is cheating should could have been left out, at least towards the middle of ending.

2. Dev should have prolonged the wife's corruption. Her giving in to the boss in their first meet is bit a quick/rushed for me.

All that being said everything else is pretty good.

Happy to help tip the scale upwards on this one. Yes, there's no choices at all. Yes, it's very much exactly as it sounds and is described. Yes, the renders are fantastic, the FMC very attractive, both the male lead characters fit their roles perfectly in both appearance and personalities. I can't say I'm a big NTR fan but I don't hate it either like the seemingly more popular attitude on F95 is. If you do love NTR, this will hit that kink hard. If you don't but don't hate it either, and perhaps just love a really good, very well written story (with just a few minor spelling or grammar errors sprinkled throughout), you won't be disappointed at all reading this one. And its certainly already opening doors for a lot more great content in the future.

That said, if I were to give any cons, I understand the auto-forward parts, where it changes scenes and text on it's own. They're kind of nice and generally transition at a good pace (at least for me) Gives a nice indicator of that in the corner of the screen. However, there are also times it does it without any forewarning or indicator and sometimes that transition will happen right when you think you're done reading a static image. So you'll jump right through the transition and you have to back up to read it or see the position change. Rather detracting from the story flow.

Otherwise, will definitely put this on my watch list and look forward to future updates!

This was very surprising I saw how fast this game was getting popular and this is the genre that I liked so I tried it and holy shit I was blown away by everything .

1)main female character is a hot milf many ntr wife games have such a ugly looking wife that it already kills my mood but not this one .

2) this also has interesting story and build up to sex scene is great I admit I mostly play this type of game for only masturbation but yeah this one was so good that I enjoyed every part of it and that's already the biggest win a avn can have in my book.

3) animation I don't really care about I think most developer use animation but they don't look good not this one though you can just tell dev is talented and animations are very smooth.

There's one minor point which probably is more my point of view but I'm a fast clicker so auto forward kind of skips everything fast for me I much prefer clicking everything than reading but as dev said he prefers more visual than dialogues so I get why he used that just a minor inconvenience for me.

Overall if you are a fan of ntr you are going to like this

Made with passion. The dev has a story to tell, it might not be the one everybody likes but it is quite absorbing. I love the premise and althought the wife gave in a bit too quickly I love the direction it's taking and hope to see more, much more. Good work dev. NTR fans will lap it up.

I'm not exaggerating if I say this might be the best NTR game I've ever played. Version 0.2 would normally be a bit early to say this, but the current game already has a lot of content.

Usually I'm not a fan of NTR games with female or multiple protagonists because seeing everything through the female's POV often kills the suspense, but the build-up and pacing in this game is so well done that the suspense feels exactly right. The game keeps finding ways to surprise you and this keeps the player constantly hooked to the story. Dialogue is smart, funny, sharp, and not just generic text to fill in the gaps between sex scenes.

I could say more but everything has already been said by others. The dev deserves a lot of praise and I'm incredibly looking forward to the next update.

This game deserves an award as far as I'm concerned. The female protagonist is a super attractive MILF and not a young woman like there are already in so many games. You can almost feel the tension between Vivian and the 2 men. This game plays almost like a movie, how she tries to hide her panties under the table in the garden is very well portrayed, everything is well made even the tattoo on Vivian's neck. I can't wait for the next release. The previews at the end for the next release gives great expectations. Good job people!

There are very few Kinetic Novels that catch my attention, and this one just kept me engaged in the madness that was coming.. (NTR ) This was a great start to a soon to be epic storyline... In general, I don't like games with NTR, but I watched this one with pleasure. Probably it's all about a sensible plot and excellent graphics. Plus an original female character, who looks very unusual and impressive. I will wait with interest for further bimbofication of the female character , especially since there were hints in the announcement. Excellent start with great storytelling. Usually too much text makes you skip, but here all the reading is not boring because it is actually a well thought out story. The closed door scene with the shadows is brilliant!
