I can already see the cries of "omg where is THIS scene that the dev promised?!" when the next update comes. Such as the garden party scene, which will be in 0.6. With AVN's they are used to all preview pictures being of the next update, not the update after next.
I agree. That said, we have had the full spectrum of interpretations: From Vivian literally having been "raped" to making the choice to "enjoy a new and exciting life" because of being bored. Both deeply flawed perceptions and projections in my opinion. The question is how are these extreme and remarkable discrepancies possible? This is due to tendencies which go beyond the audience of porn games of course - above all the fear of appearing judgmental and the will to be empathetic instead of just the cold neutral observer.
I think it depends on the subject. If the story follows what the player would naturally pick, then for most it won't matter too much if there is no choice. But that is probably not the case here. I understand that we need to follow the main thrust of the plot to keep render proliferation down and make development faster, but I think it is important to provide at least choices of expression to make the player feel involved in the story. Playing this, I am continually disappointed that the MC isn't able to express himself, and that diminished the game for me. If you are going to have a reluctant cuckold you need to weave the story a little tighter in my opnion.
I disagree. There won't be a big revelation concerning Hutch or Vivian with regard to their actions up to now. Some kind of mystery we don't know yet which explains the first part.This is bad "mystery box" Hollywood storytelling. No, what we have seen is all to it up to now. Christian could be another case.
That scene with the cigarette is adding the mystery quite well. Anyway, I can't wait for the update. I usually avoid NTR games because they look like they are written either by a teen writing cringe wattpad fanfics or it's not focused on what NTR is. Emotional, messy and dark. It's always about a woman only. This is clearly written by someone who knows how life works. I played only one NTR game which I think no other can top it off.
I'm just waiting for the "cigarette smoking man" to end up being a complete non-event. Not everything has to have great meaning and it's just as likely to be a random person who we barely see anything of as it is some new antagonist, or Christian, or Hutch.

You're going to be waiting decades. The game is approaching nine years old, the story for act one has been done for two years, and they've been filling shit in ever since. The first act, which is a stand alone game, may be done this year but act two probably won't be done until the mid 2030s, and there's a planned third act.
