Here are 2 small signs that i think Hutch will change.The fisted hand! DEV also wrote this, that Hutch didnt have a chanceto break out in the restroom, but he will have a chance.

I want to restate what I said in my initial post in this thread: My Husband's Boss was the reason I decided to start posting here.

think there are quite a few others who started posting because of the kn .... me included. once this kn is done going back to stalker mode(not stalker 2 game) since no other game has been able to match this kn.

I really like when MC is naive, weak, optimistic and idealistic at the beginning but after betrayal he becomes powerful anti hero type story. The revenge happens not because he seeks it but because of he rebounds back.

Till now Hutch plot seems to indicate he is becoming a quiet cuck, in the end he may start to enjoy and fap to Vivian's escapade unwillingly or just accept it willingly as a loser. BUT his action till now is very different, he clearly tried to say no strongly, he always tried to stop Vivian though like always she brushes it off, gave her enough chance to confess, gave her option to back off from the project to which I would like to think he gave her a chance to prove her comment that he is enough for her, he is what she needs/wants. But in the end she created another excuse in her head and accepted it. His acceptance made me think he is becoming a cuck but I would like to think after her acceptance he again felt defeated in desperation he said those words. Like clinging on the hope that at-least she will respect their marriage and come home every night but the sneak peak suggest it otherwise (she is fucking Christian while her phone is ringing).


Storywise I want to see what Hutch will do about all this.

But how would revenge match the devs statement that the story is getting darker (and all characters being unlikeable)? it would be getting brighter because justice would be served and Hutch would show a backbone. I don't get it except one simply equals dark with physical violence. I can only see an uncontrolled meltdown or amok scenario which I wouldn't exactly call revenge in the cool and measured sense, but just that he couldn't bear it any longer.

It can get darker before it starts to show signs of getting lighter again. But yeah, I think that might be the darkness people are more readily associating with it when it comes to revenge.

One can literally hear the voice of a marriage counsellor: when was the last time you and your wife had a glamour night out together worth preparing for and having fun doing so, looking and feeling good and desirable etc etc
The game now gives it to her in form of a bitter parody, preparing for an asshole pimp. But the actions, the lipstick are the same, look the same regardless for whom, that is the irony of those images.

The darker side could also be that Christian is blackmailing and influencing Vivien harder. She has to do more things, for example, not going home at the end of the day. Or Vivien has to do things in front of Hutch, for example, giving a blowjob.
Vivien pretends to everyone that Christian and Vivien are a couple, for example, at the garden party where Christian makes Hutch out and that's what will change Hutch.
Hutch doesn't have to accept it here, but after that he has to make a drastic change. Hutch will find something at the garden party that he can use against Christian and I think Addison will help him.

The game makes the point: it is not in spite of the 20 years of marriage the couple iis in this situation but because of it.

i remember you talking about how society of today is and how it views marriage and how the gen z or similar are disillusioned and have their view twisted by society and social media. if the marriage fall apart because of being married for 20 years then i don't think that the couple should have married in the first place. better to use that time what they want(need or desire) from their spouse instead of ending a 20+ year marriage of ups and downs with disappointment. this applies to both game and real-life i think.

luc i think you are missing the sequence of the images i feel.... since there are multiple pics of sneak peeks in relation to the image you posted. the pic in xcalibur's post is the one preceding your post as they are cleaning up after the fucking. and holding hands which is after as stated by many before.(me included) and these are all part of update 3(0.6) which we have to wait till september. which SC Stories clearly confirmed.

Well, that but not only that, that would be true but trivial. Vivian doesn't only to seem to go for more variety in itself. The game also shows how they became weak, neurotic, defenseless (major point in relation to the boss in both, wife and husband), complacent, regressive (major point in how motherly Vivian treats Hutch), resentful.

Question is if it's a matter of individual choices of individuals or the inevitable logic and tendency of the institution regardless of the people. Therefore I tend to view the characters in the game more as archetypes. I can't see why the boss as an individual would be a better fit to Vivian (esp 20 years ago) or why Hutch wouldn't be a good match personalitywise (it is good that the dev didn't write him simply as a fat unattractive slob of a husband, this is not the case, he is not "our of her league" I would say just from outward appearences).

think you posted this comment about hutch and vivian before... or was it someone else... just want to think of a differnt take on the interpretation since no posted talked about the couple being compatible(or whatever terminology is used to suitablly explain it). not talking about vivian being in the same league as hutch as you put it but a fundamentally basic interpretation of the cause that luc was talking about.

ps: dont get me wrong... since your thinking face make me think you will make strong philosophical reason to your point which will keep me think about this point for a while.

You can be sure that the handshake will be in the 0.4 update. Because the 0.6 Hutch update will be here, something will happen when Hutch will change. Either accept or revenge for Vivien, 0.4 will be the big update.
