You are describing the general shallowness of society, particularly western society. Valuing a person for either youth or money exemplifies how selfish people are. I enjoy the game, My Husband's Boss, but I would not wish the scenario on real people. I know it happens, but I still would not wish it on people. Speaking of the game, if Hutch hooked up with Addison, that would be the exact scenario you describe, "Competing with younger girls..." The game seems to be going in a different direction, considering that Hutch makes no attempts to reciprocate Addison's affection, but that would be the kind of situation that would make a wife of 22 years in her 40s insecure. Her husband being attracted to a younger, and perhaps more attractive, woman. By the way, when it comes to infidelity in real life, I don't think a wife's infidelity is any worse than a husband. Betrayal hurts men and women.
