Heres the thing, as is hinted in the game, has Vivian (as a teacher and before the introduction of Christain) been messing around with one or two of her students.
This possibility has been entertained MANY times in this already lengthy thread, and the general consensus from what I remember is that the in-game evidence does not support this idea.

I like her "average" face appearance, it makes the story a bit more believable. The main female characters are usually 10/10 hotties in this type of games which is understandable. Having said that, I have a hard time imagining she would spend 22 years with someone like Hutch, when I take into account her perfect body and how their characters have been written so far.
Its obviously a personal opinion but I don't fancy Vivian's looks much. I can easily image her to look like mrs Doubtfire in like 10 years. :D
If it was me, I would have her look more like Katrin from Girlfriend, obviously not a bombshell as the bar with Hutch (with his zero charisma) is pretty low but a bit more slutty, a carre haircut could be more fitting.

Yes, I just appreciate that the game’s creator didn’t go with the typical universally stunning model (well, except for the body…). During the kitchen and bedroom scenes at Christian’s house, there were moments when the combination of her makeup, tattoos, and behavior conveyed the impression of a seasoned whore - which I find attractive :)

It's a question of drop time now. Am i lucky to get and play the update before i go on summer holidays next month, or not!
I can only imagine the number of posts that will drop after the update. I'll be reading for months afterwards.

This is true for older women. As older woman is getting, she's getting less and less compliments and interests from men(which for men is different). Competing with younger girls is exhausting and it's not easy constantly taking care of yourself to look and feel better just to be desirable again. Men are valued for status(money), women for youth which is hardcore unfair truth.
You are describing the general shallowness of society, particularly western society. Valuing a person for either youth or money exemplifies how selfish people are. I enjoy the game, My Husband's Boss, but I would not wish the scenario on real people. I know it happens, but I still would not wish it on people. Speaking of the game, if Hutch hooked up with Addison, that would be the exact scenario you describe, "Competing with younger girls..." The game seems to be going in a different direction considering that Hutch makes no attempts to reciprocate Addison's affection, but that would be the kind of situation that would make a wife of 22 years in her 40s insecure. Her husband being attracted to a younger, and perhaps more attractive woman. By the way, when it comes to infidelity in real life, I don't think a wife's infidelity is any worse than a husbands. Betrayal hurts men and women.

I hear you, but selfish is what people are. Survival and reproduction is what society and more importantly life is built on. Men take care of the survival part of the family and women take care of the reproduction part of the family. At least that's how it used to be. At the crux of it, we are just doing what evolution and society shaped us to do, and sometimes that creates a disruption in the self. Men revolt to not be in this image of a "MAN" and women do the same. I do agree, I wouldn't wish it upon people as well, but at the same time, Vivian does show signs where she wants hutch to be a bit authoritative or at least a little assertive, he also doesn't know shit about what his wife likes or wants or cares for. Not to mention he is fucking sex aversive like you lost your job, wouldn't you want to like to have a release by fucking your woman a couple of times. Of course, we don't know what's he usually like or what's the normal family dynamics, but in those 5 days there was no sign of love or appreciation towards her or even the son. And forget all of this, here is where it all begins and is also the craziest part. While not only being not understanding of his woman, this dude doesn't even know that he is doing a poor job at his work by not sensing he is losing clients and might lose his job and also not creating a backup position with money saved or a job he could for the time being thereby putting his family in trouble. For all the talk of Christian saying hutch is a numbers guy as if like painting him to be a nerd, he isn't even an intelligent nerd. And buying a car for Vivian, who clearly didn't like the one, but fine whatever, but how about one that fucking doesn't suck. All I am saying is not only this dude is not authoritative or at least a little assertive or even understands his wife's needs, he is clearly shit at his job and for a nerd he has no backup plans of any sort. And that is precisely where the game begins, him losing the job and the wife sensing that she is gotta be the one guiding him and the family through this. And Christian is everything hutch at this moment isn't. From a show of appreciation of her beauty, buying her a dress, clearly expressing desire for her, very good at his job, while having a collected head of knowing what he is doing. But it all starts at that place where the near survival of the family, the house, the car, the education was all put in danger and Christian is the one going to save them from the situation. Maybe I am talking nonsense, or maybe I am not. I dont know. I am way too drunk to be writing this, LMAO.

I wouldn't go that far. But you are writing like living in the 50ies at the latest and I'm not exaggerating. What you are saying has immanent logic (apart from falsities like Hutch having lost his job already or Christian acting without malice) but this is the logic of a world in which men have all the responsibility but also all the authority and women are obedient beauty and reproductive objects waiting to be protected and appreciated. You take the 100 percent responsibility of the man out of this social world and transfer it in the world of today without any regard for the fact that everything else around it has totally changed and he isn't the patriarch anymore. A guy like Hutch doesn't have any control over his corporate position, over sex or over consumption in his family (cause you are mentioning savings). He probably wasn't the one deciding the college career of the son either. He isn't even able to say to the wife stay at home when going to the boss dinner, not just because he is Hutch the individual but because in our society there is no such sentence: you stay at home acceptable to the wife anymore without a major conflict. I'm all for assertiveness etc. and I find Hutch weak but you have to adress these problems differently today.
