It seems it only "softens" Anya's scene (mainly by adding stuff afterward) and the afterparty scene. I might get a bit of hate for this since I've already criticized the game lately, but I'm not a big fan of the new direction for Anya. Dev already changed the scene once, but it seems it wasn't enough, she needed to be even more "loyal" toward the MC. Those new dialogues show that Anya is feeling as if she "betrayed him" and acted badly (just because she filmed a bj and let a guy touch her ass... while Eric: 1.has a girlfriend 2.is active sexually with other girls 3.is her brother and didn't act as if they were together. Ridiculous). The game looks more and more like a power-fantasy centered on the mc. I'm also questioning if the dev will just change his story each time anything sensitive is brought up and some people complain.
Well that's just how it is, all that said I'll try to be less negative in the future, as I'm still enjoying the game overall even if I'm not as enthousiastic as in the past. I just hope this time the direction is set and we won't have that kind of retropedaling anymore.
I feel like a broken record reiterating this, but the direction wasn't changed. Even in the dev chat which I saw retroactively after it was clear the plan from the get go was to have Anya express regret afterwards. All that changed is he just added it on to the end of the scene too to clarify instead of waiting until we pick up that thread in chapter 6. Yeah, the game is a bit of a power fantasy in some ways, it's meant to be a feels good porn romp (Although I'd note, even if Anya didn't have feelings for Eric, all that would change is the power fantasy would be for Rob instead, it'd still be an absurd power fantasy, and indeed Rob still gets his power fantasy too).
You're allowed to criticize, if I'm being 100% honest though, at this point the game is far too big for CG to be listening much to this threads criticisms. Ultimately, nothing has changed about the direction and most certainly nothing has changed regarding Anya's direction. I recommend going through Anya's dialogues from chapter 0 all the way through to chapter 5 again if you don't believe me. Even the last time she had a run in with Rob (chapter 3 going into chapter 4) she also came back home to sulk and think about Eric. It's fine to not like that direction, but it's been the same since the start.
I do agree with you Anya has nothing to really feel guilty about! And I've said this before it's not about "logic" it's about her feelings. She's not guilty because she did something actually morally wrong, she's feeling guilty because she wanted to impress Eric and take back some of his attention from Vi and found herself in a very different predicament at the end of the night. It's a perfectly human thing to feel guilty about things that were not actually "wrong" or borne out of any ill intent. Anya is simply dealing with remorse because of what she wanted to happen instead, not because of an actual fault.
