People enjoyed the game with just its visuals and still pictures. The updates now being 2 months between each other just to see a hand or head move back and forth is fuckin lame.

Everyone knows these games are just fastfood fap, no one is asking for a wagyu beef 3 course dinner.

Vote with your wallets stop supporting shitty practices.

I don't know if one person is working on these two games or if they're two completely different authors... Maybe we're dealing with a case of a creative genius with a split personality? I don't know, so I won't deny or confirm any of that. I also wouldn’t dare call my suspicions "facts" - that would be, to put it mildly, strange. And of course, I won’t claim or deny whether someone enjoys creating multiple accounts and writing the same thing in the comments either.

As for the bold statement that "80% of fans want less vanilla content"... I find that statistic highly questionable. Unless, of course, by "fans," they exclusively mean the voices in their own head.

It’s amusing to watch someone’s personal preferences suddenly being declared the "will of the people." Especially when the very essence of NTS is built on the balance between a couple’s relationship and their interactions with others. Removing the vanilla from NTS is like erasing the background from a painting - all that’s left is... nothing special.

I won’t deny that some people might not like the chemistry between the main characters. Maybe they prefer pure NTR or just want to watch the heroine move from one partner to another without any "sentimental nonsense."

But calling that NTS - that’s just strange. It’s like demanding a detective story remove all the investigations and just leave the corpses. Technically, it’s the same genre, but... something important is clearly missing.

At the end of the day, if you don’t like how the author develops the couple’s relationship - maybe this just isn’t your genre? Or do they seriously think NTS is just "sex with multiple partners, but without all that pesky emotional weight"?

Maybe these commenters are just confusing genres? Or do they genuinely believe people watch Titanic solely for the iceberg scenes?

Then again, there’s no accounting for taste - but demanding an author reshape their vision to fit someone’s personal preferences is... a little odd, don’t you think?

Then again, who am I to argue with the profound analysis of people who:
— Can’t tell the difference between NTS and NTR;
— Think "80%" is a convincing argument, even if they only polled their imaginary friends;
— Honestly believe the author should rewrite the game to suit their personal fantasies...

All that’s left is to admire such unique logic. Or, alternatively, just erect a monument to this conversation titled:
"How to Ruin a Genre Without Even Understanding It."

But seriously - maybe just play what you like instead of demanding other games conform to your strange interpretations? Crazy idea, I know.

Gone are the days when devs had an arms length relationship with critics and their audience. Think of past Butch Hartman, maker of Danny Phantom and Fairly Oddparents, and how he allegedly avoided fan conventions and meetups. And those times when he did show up, it's in a very controlled situation. (Not to the level of Japan idol industry controlled interviews, but still.)

There's a reason why agents and handlers of the past don't even encourage the talent, artists and devs to read or respond to fan mail. Those time when they did read or respond, the letters and the responses have already been vetted beforehand by the agents themselves.
While i don't support the approach, i think ultimately hate stems from the passion. I (and probably most people) stay neutral towards to media which i have no interest in. I don't care if Ubisoft betrayed to fans with new Assassin's Creed game, since i don't find it appealing to begin with. But if there is a product which lures me, then i will have expectations.

What i observed in short time i have spent here is that people who criticize Shadows of Ambition and My New Girlfriend actually really like certain aspects of these games. It can be characters, visuals etc. and they want them to fit to their choice of story.

Think of it like this. You want to eat hamburger, one restourant is like 8/10 and the other one is 2/10. So going back to other one isn't an option. In this case some people will be like "Ok, this one is already delicious." while others say "This is good but why don't you add potato fries?". I think these people don't see better options than SoA and MNGF, so they want to mold them to their desires.

Again, while i don't support the approach, i think i can understand their mindset. Which ultimately makes arguing with them pointless (Especially for the dev team)

Plenty of devs around here work on more than one game at the same time. There's like, zero reasons to invent some elaborate double identity scheme to hide that. As for similarities between the games, gee: NTR/NTS games with AI-made graphics feel similar? Never would see that coming.:coffee:

At no point has Sai acted like a "bull". Under Vi's prompting he did the things she asked of him, that's all. But it's fine you enjoyed it less, the patreon hit new peaks and tons of people loved it. CG's not concerned if not everything is for everyone, but the setup for this scene was pretty clear, and if you haven't noticed yet that Vi often acts out with the express intent of getting Eric to then react to that, that's what I mean by a lack of media literacy.

What she did with Sai was in part for her pleasure, but is more so part of the games she plays with Eric. That's why it feeds directly into what occurs in the alley, Sai was a tool to her. This is all pretty clear subtext if you read what's written throughout the entire club sequence... but even stuff written prior sets up Sai's role.
Dude, take off your rose-colored glasses. V is just a slut who likes sex, likes to be the center of attention, and yes, she is exactly that kind of character, and not that she manipulated someone with a higher purpose than just getting excited.
It seems like you are the only one who does not see the difference in Sai's behavior in the club and in the alley.
And reread the dialogue between the main character and V after the club and think about whether there is logic in the sequence of events in the game and the words that the author writes (adequate logic, not made up)

As a supporter I support him making the story he wants to, as long as it's hot and keeps to his style I don't care too much. Where did you even get these random numbers from? And why do they matter? Should Tolkien have run a poll on whether the Fellowship should have "wasted" so much time wandering and not just get Frodo to cast the ring into the fire already? It's an artistic pursuit, the last thing I want to do is somehow change his vision of it. The scenes have been hot, I don't get your constant whining.
It seems you don't read the text and don't think about the plot, you just look at the picture. It was the same with the Lord of the Rings. Into which fire should Frodo have immediately thrown the ring??? Just into the fire or something? LOL. Read the words and you'll understand that the ring should have been thrown into the fire in the very mountain where he did it almost immediately after he reached it.

Incredible! You managed to miss the metaphor and explain the plot of a 70 year old book. Bravo!

LOL, actually no, he didn't. Frodo fell under the power of the Ring at the last minute, facing his last trial. It was Gollum who destroyed the Ring by taking it by force and falling in the volcano right after. Probably not even the Sam could have just thrown the ring in the fire. But we are not here to discuss LotR :) I just couldn't help myself.

Now I'm curious how far does the plot has been written. Okay, update in 2 months because of setting, high standard images, animations and so on, but what about the plot? Dear Circle Games, give us a little spoiler and maybe tell us how far does the plot goes for now?

He writes the script as he creates the images, in terms of ideas/narratives he has plenty of those in mind for the next long while. But spoiling anything ruins part of what makes MNGF fun, a lot of what happens next chapter has already been hinted at (or even explicitly stated) in the previous updates though.

Like what Symbiotic said...
Everything Vi does she does for Eric. That's what motivates and drives her. Turns her on.
She doesn't care what anyone else thinks. Even the readers hahaha

Good point probably, but I hate misinformation. We live in a misinformation age with social media, and it's peddled like an opiate for the masses non stop. I wish we went back to the days before people felt they had the right to just say whatever stupid thought crossed their mind to the wider world. Some idiocy was best kept to oneself.

Besides... I'm not a ubisoft ceo. And tons of gaming companies attempt community outreach, and now I realize why most of them give up on it very quickly.
I like community outreach and interaction. And having people yell at me to STFU and get back
in my kitchen. While they fap to my work hahaha
Who else is there to handle all the misinformation people come up with and believe?

As long as the skeleton of the story is already done, it's probably not a problem. The writers who don't outline their entire story beforehand and just begin writing right away probably hit writer's block more often than those who do outlining. (Big plus if the ending and how to get to the ending is already known.)
