Alright. Let me explain why this is problematic. Try to follow.
Lets take the choice of having Vi give Sai that handjob.
If you choose yes, it happens and you get the handjob scene.
if you choose no, it does not happen and it goes to a teasing scene.
This is already 2 different scenes that need to be written and drawn/created. Creating double the work.
Now any escalation that comes after need to keep your choice in mind.
Meaning that if you choose yes, you get the option for a blowjob scene but you can also say no to this for more teasing.
If you choose No before, it wouldnt make sense to suddenly go to a blowjob thats an escalation that doesnt make sense, therefore you will need a handjob scene first, theoretically of course. To wich, again, you can say Yes or no.
This will quadrupel the work. And keep in mind you will need to write scenes that reflect your choices from before. If you said no to all scenes and only kept teasing it wouldnt make sense to have Vi be able to get into a gangbang thats the same scene if you had said yes to all previous options. You will need new dialogue, scenes everything.
I know a yes or no choice seem simple, but it is not.
Would the game be better if it had options where you could choose the outcome? Sure. I wont disagree. But dont come here and say that a yes or no choice is simple. Because again, its what comes after.
There is no problem here, i agree that a little more work needs to be done.I agree with Blubbervink, It nice to have choices and pathing, but indeed to make a pathing game, for each path you need to make more scenes, different outcomes, more work for the developer. But not all VN should be like that, this vn is made like a book with images, when a writer writes a book, you not going to tell him either, i rather wanted you made me choices if I wanted to see that murder happen, or that the characters wife would sleep with him, or that I could choose to be rich instead of a poor street vendor.
I'm not suggesting, but - the text base is settled in the same way as in many similar projects, just in the NO option - the VI is removed and only Ari remains and etc!
This is the easiest way to make a choice, that’s all!
Using the example of the "MoonR." - MC and his girlfreand go for a booz for party, whether in a bar or on the street with homeless man, there are options to choose from, they affect what happens in these scenes, but they do not affect future content since the base is the same!
A simple choice of YES NO will not hard affect the development time, but need to work on some scenes, also change some texts - it’s not difficult - it’s like working with layers - you have a base and the layers can be hidden making the scene varied!
