I mean now that I played the "Rework" the art is only diffrent in the intro, the mall scenes and onwards still use the same art ? So I guess we can expect more of these reworks in the future, thats a bummer...

I think this art update was not needed at all, and is just low hanging fruit to get a visibility boost on the "latest updates" tab here on f95 - for next to no effort. It's also why the Blurring the Walls dev went to an every two weeks update schedule. He can abuse the once-per-2-weeks max visibility boost here, which is quite a big deal for devs under 2k subs, brings in a lot of new eyes. Seems the dev here is stalling a bit, like I've seen others do...

Remaking what already exists only to marginaly improve it is a sigh of a lacking creativity.
Eh. Not the 1st time this happen and not the last either.
I am not replaying the entire game because of reworked visuals.
Wake me up when actual content hits. Peace.

Hello guys, there seems to be some confusion regarding the rework of the intial release. The rework is done and released. I updated this thread, the thumbnails, the links, the changelog, etc...I'm not currently working on any rework, it's done and released both on Patreon and to the public. I already knew I wanted to make this rework before releasing Chapter 5 weeks ago, I just didn't announce it because I knew it would create toxic and fake narratives on this thread, so I just did it and released it. It's done! I will leave the Patreon post here for reference but I wanted a better experience for new players, make Vi look a little better ( before I get trouble from TOS on Patreon), create new narrative threads like Laura working on real-estate and Arnold being the new director of the university. This are plot lines that will have impact soon on future chapters. I'm working now on the Anya DLC for March, nothing has changed. View attachment 4575185

A note regarding the text outline: enforcing it in the default style is a UI mistake because by default (i.e., when the text box is visible), it’s unnecessary.
Moreover, as implemented in this update, it affects the text on the phone where the visibility issue never occurs.
The outline is only useful when the textbox is invisible (or near).

Two solutions:

• Very simple: reduce the textbox display field from 100% to 70%, for example, instead of from 100% to 0%, and forget about the outline.

• More complicated: add a conditional function that says “if textbox transparency is lower than 5% then outline ON, else OFF”

For option 2, even without being a good Python coder, a recent AI should be able to do this quite easily…

I much preferred the original version of Vi to the current one, but that's not up to me to decide. Don't break what doesn't need fixing. I get it - you could spend 100 years trying to perfect every little thing and you'll always be dissatisfied. I work in film - trying to perfect anything will eat you up and waste energy.

Story progression mate, progression is the most important aspect of a game like this. Obviously we love your art style.

You're extremely talented. But I worry that you're focused on the wrong things.

I really enjoy this game, but as many of have stated, without progression, I'm losing interest fast

I could be wrong, but I think the main reason is to make Vi look older as Patreon has gotten pretty strict with this kinda stuff over the past few years, and the wrong person reviewing his game could come to the conclusion that Vi (and possibly other characters?) is underage, which can potentially turn into a disaster for CG.

Don't quote me on that. But I think CG mentioned something along those lines himself aswell.

I have a problem!

I’m updating my translation, and of course, this mini-update is causing quite a few issues due to my (unconventional) approach to this work. So, it’s both expected and partly my fault. But that’s not really the point: I need to reimplement the new renders, but I’m facing a dilemma.

IMO, the new images for the beginning—the player’s first encounter with Vi—no longer convey the same messages (the way they can be interpreted) as the old ones.
And now I’m wondering if I’m just going crazy!

The thing is, CG is the art director of his work, but I am of mine, and my goal is to refine and make the text even more arousing. So, it’s not just a straight translation, it’s a bit more nuanced and I also have to work with what’s shown (through the images) even if it’s not necessarily stated in the original text…

Anyway, I need your opinion. To help with that, I made a little chart that you should be able to grasp quickly. Under each image is my interpretation of each images.

Question: Do you see what I see, not really, or not at all?

Oof if that's true that's unfortunate.

Who ever viewed her as underage?

NTR alot of guys will have a mental breakdown if ntr was in the game lol no its a sharing/harem game XD
Nobody is having any sort of mental breakdown over NTR. Everyone has their own preferences and things they like or dislike. You, for example, certainly got quite upset when BCG made a small joke. So you might relate to people not liking reading certain things.

Let us all be understanding and not constantly cast stones from glass houses, as Im seeing a lot of that going on.

NTR or cheating would be awesome not much but just a lil bit
There very likely will be, with Sai. Hes been fairly clear on the path of the main couple being NTS. If you include NTR there it no longer has the same weight or vibe, it becomes a different story altogether.

I'm not sure I understand what you're doing. But as far as the comments under the pics: the lower-mid is more an old-school horny blushing (often with shy/innocent/inexperienced connotations)
