The fact that people care so passionately about these Asian concepts of NTR and NTS keeps ruining games and these threads. Seriously, who wants to read a book of fiction when you already know how the plot is going to develop? I feel sorry for people who need their erotic fiction to conform with the "rules" of NTR or NTS. I really do. It's one thing to view real life relationships with a certain moral compass but we're not talking about that here, we're talking about a work of fiction. A great book or movie is still a great work even if you don't agree with how the plot developed or if you personally would have done things differently with the story. Honestly, it all stinks of authoritarianism and a lack of free expression.
From reading his "update", it seems that Circle is now going to "change some things" to better "fit" with whatever concept some element of his fan base wants to see. Anytime an artist, a creator, a writer, or a director changes his vision to "please" a segment of the audience he is succumbing to censorship in one form or another. So now one half of the NTR/NTS group will be pleased with the "changes" and the other half will be disappointed. Here we go again. Game developers just need to make games and stop "listening" to what people on forums want to see.

Maybe he want to change something paying part of player were disapointed . He cannot ignore them and their wishes because of money
Finally played the update and doesnt the final scene count as NTR instead of NTS considering there was no consent? I liked it personally just saying.
iirc they gave consent last update did they not? and even mentioned it this update about the "initiative" thing. Haven't played last update in awhile but they pretty much gave the "go" signal iirc.
Perhaps we need an update from circle games where Eric and Vi communicate seriously to eachother verbally straight their boundaries. So that people here won't argue whether or not it was NTR or NTS. Even though I don't think he needs to do this at all.

No matter what people are going to argue about this, lolz.
I personally think vague boundaries are good but statements from dev or characters about never doing anything unpredictable hurts the experience and mystery. Reason I brought it up is I swear I've seen people on this thread make such statements, either from their opinions or supposed quotes from the dev. I could be misremembering tho.

Chapter05's Afterparty DLC had such a scene. Not the first time either they talk about these things. It's been established several times by now that Eric wants Vi to be slutty. Vi wants to be slutty to get a "punishment" in return - and because she just enjoys it. Eric is turned on by it and he's getting his fair share.
If that's not NTS, I don't know what is. And ugh... Do I hate these tags. Swinging, sharing, open relationship....Why do we have to call it NT-Whatever.
They did in the After Party DLC.
I think the problem is CG got caught up in wanting a scene with Ari where Eric would dominate her. Vi ended up as the prop to justify Eric treating Ari like that. But what most people want out of this game, the one with girlfriend in the title, is exploration of Vi's and Eric's relationship. The game is now diverging into a two sided harem where the core relationship is an after thought. People argue about the tags but I don't think anyone other than people who seem to be clueless about the theme have a problem with Vi fucking around with other guys, it's how it's happening.
Most complaints would likely be addressed if the scene was focused on Eric and Vi communicating, with Ari being the side piece, rather than Eric and Ari, with Vi the side piece.
I was uncertain where the Halloween images were supposed to download too. So I crated a sub-folder in Images naming it Halloween, and placed them there.
True, the game is NTS and harem esque, to shift the balance too much is inadequate.
No mac version for the last update? I can't run the win version through renpy, it gives me an error.

I will first address the notion that a dev does not have to take into account the reception of his paying public. That is flawed thinking. It happens all the time. Movies test screen for reasons and more than a few have had to reshoot scenes that did not get received well. And sometimes seeing it through the eyes of others illuminates something that you missed because as the Dev/author you know where the story is ultimately going so sometimes you skip steps that felt small in scope..to you. In the end, if you are doing this with getting paid in mind. You better listen to that audience...the paying one I mean.
Second, I do not think the discussion was a strict NTR vs NTS issue, those are just the terms we use now. The rules for them hardly influence anything as you likely could not find two people on here who could agree to what they are. I can only speak for myself, but for me it was a matter of I am focused on the couple of Eric and Vi. I am not here for Eric to have a chad protag journey, of nailing all girls while Vi awaits his return. Nor am I here for the Vi "New Ho of Babylon" saga, where she goes slack faced anytime anyone unzips their pants. Both concepts bore the hell out of me. The last update tried to thread some of those needles, while skipping a few steps I feel were needed, and fell flat. At least for me.
I like Vi the tease that does dirty stuff for the enjoyment of both her and her partner. I like Eric trying to anticipate what she will do next only to have to "punish and reclaim" his girl. But in truth there is no reclaim cause neither are actually stepping out and straying. Which is likely why I hate the concept of Bruce as the writing seems to sometimes place him on an Eric level of influence on Vi, which I get, but personally am meh on.

This tag war is useless and only generates tons of posts between NTRxNTS that goes absolutely nowhere.
But let's be honest, this only happens because the devs starts selling their product still in the early beginning. Neither the own dev knows how the rest of the story will develop, because he will do it according to what the patreons want. And this imo is the wrong way to consume this product, because it's not a game with a multiple branches, it's a VN.
You're are intended to play a VN just like you read a book, in other words, your story must be 100% of what the author wanted to do. But for that we must have the whole book released to be consumed. When we have small chapters released in a wide timeframe, people keep months wondering how good the story would be if this or that happening... And then when they get the new chapter from the author, they get disappointed.
You're are too eager to receive the whole content at once, but this is not gonna happen, because the dude need somehow to make money with his work..
PS: Rework chapters just to fill patreons whishes in not acceptable for me. If you don't have a clear idea of your plot, better don't even create anything
