And many disagree with this assesment, and thats ok. Theres enough people enjoying the multi genre cook for cg to not need to please everyone. And I know other big devs in the space (cant spoil which games) who intend to similarly mix it up because they like a lot of things. Its perfectly fine to not like it, Im just informing you theres a pretty sizeable fanbase that does like all the different stuff going on. Or enough of it that they dont mind when it branches out.

If he had infinite time maybe hed include branches, but as is things are going very well so we dont mind some people not enjoying it. Thats ok.

Perhaps they're trying to exceed the expectations of those who read the novel, or perhaps the characters' stories are also created by AI. Many visual novels with AI tend to have inconsistencies in the characters' decisions and reactions, which causes readers to find it confusing and complain. They complain mainly because they like the models, and the story's opening was interesting. There are creators who don't understand why someone would complain about something they like.
They should think more about how to develop the characters so they're more understandable to those who read the graphic novel, instead of dismissing opinions with the ability to say if you like it, fine, and if not, fine, too.

I've recently admired the consistency in another AI-cg game that may similarly seem like a chaotic cook-up; to me, that consistency comes from a vision that's underlying all of the diverse content you can optionally run. Haven't played this one since one of the earlier releases, here's to hoping this is another case of an author doing their thing rather than trying to please a larger audience. Just wanted to add to those who say a game doesn't have to conform to strict "genres", in fact, it's best that it doesn't. There's no government-issued checklist for this kind of "cooking".

Ehh, it doesn't really matter how many breathless adjectives you pile onto it, a single scene split across two updates is going to remain what it is, a single scene delivered in two updates. This is bound to disappoint some people, and you can see the same reactions in threads of other games which similarly provide bite-sized updates instead of larger work.

Of course, it's a tradeoff between size and frequency, but it's pretty disingenuous (or just very biased) to act as if people who'd prefer the former are "absolutely cooked" for voicing their dislike for the latter.

But... he wasn't even talking about the size or frequency. He's called the person cooked for implying that an update without NTR/NTS is considered milking. :unsure:

I wasn't following this discussion at all so maybe I'm missing something here, but based on your quote I can't see any disingenuity.

Leaving aside that the thing about "no NTR/NTS" was a strawman he's built entirely on his own, that part was simply a pre-emptive reply to the usual argument pulled as defense in this case -- "but you can't ask for multiple scenes when updates are produced quickly!"

(the person who made original complaint didn't say anything about NTR/NTS. All they said was:

I misunderstood his comment, to be honest with you. It's a complaint I've heard before, I followed up by asking if he understand the workflows. Look, nobody is under any obligation to support or even like the game, but as somebody who works on the exact same sort of stuff with CG I know absolutely full well how much work and effort CG puts in. I'm not going to have yet another long winded discussion about it though, people will believe what they will.

Pretty sure almost everyone would agree that these past 2 DLC's took longer than they should have, but I'm not gonna go on a rant over a....what do I even call it without starting a wildfire here...less productive/creative phase the past few months? For now I'm positively looking at this projects future and can only hope that CG just had a little hiccup. There are other games where development is a constant downhill ride, but I'm not gonna grab my pitchfork and torch over a couple weeks of slower progression than anticipated.

As it is now, I don't think that's the path CG wants to walk on. But ay, F95 is always going crazy over the smallest things. Some things never change. :LOL:
