Gone are the days when devs had an arms length relationship with critics and their audience. Think of past Butch Hartman, maker of Danny Phantom and Fairly Oddparents, and how he allegedly avoided fan conventions and meetups. And those times when he did show up, it's in a very controlled situation. (Not to the level of Japan idol industry controlled interviews, but still.)I am aware you are not Ubisoft Ceo, what i am trying to tell is there is no way for you to change haters' ideas, they feed from chaos. And as for the logical people, they will never believe you (Or any other person who is in charge in game development), since devs can never be truly objective. I mean think about it, there is a guy who is working under a company, can this guy ever publicly say that company is lazy or malicious? So technically your comments can never be trully objective.
I hope you are aware i am not saying this to criticize you. I just believe in your position being part of arguments are useless and creates more harm than good.
There's a reason why agents and handlers of the past don't even encourage the talent, artists and devs to read or respond to fan mail. Those time when they did read or respond, the letters and the responses have already been vetted beforehand by the agents themselves.
