I think a middle ground could have been found if people were as logical as you are, yet what i have observed is that some people want all LIs to worship MC, even if they fool around they want LIs to prefer MC over anyone else in the end. This thread is a tinge more drama oriented than before the dlcs. I wish more people had nuance to understand what happens when a developer tries learning new techniques, it takes time. Drama could be averted with nuance.

I'm a proofreader, I have near zero control over the plot (beyond suggesting tweaks that fit with CG's plans). So I wouldn't say I shot your idea down so much as I just didn't quite believe that is what CG intends based on my various conversations with him, sorry if that was unclear but you know... I don't want to spoil anything. That being said, I think people might will be continually surprised by what CG does in fact intend despite him sort of laying out the broad intention several times already.

In terms of the Anya question specifically, I do not know all of CG's long term plans only what I have discussed with him - he's a busy guy despite what this thread sometimes believes - and obviously it's again no fun to just spoil stuff. I really suggest people wait and see a bit, at the very least they might be somewhat surprised about Anya, at least for the time being. Longer term, again who knows where things might go but you can't please everyone. Ultimately he's making the game he wants to make, and hopefully people can enjoy that. Anya will not be - I do not think based on all our conversations - ever a Maki or Ari clone, if that's what people are worried about.

I think a lot of people who are into the Eric/Anya connection will be really happy about this upcoming chapter, and I don't think CG would mind me saying that much as he's advertised this fact himself (on the discord).

Eric won't ever be humiliated like that, Sai/Ari have their own unique relationship with their own spin on the same kinks. Even Sai though will not always be treated like that, but it was a first real exploration of his cuck fantasies.

Like I won't pretend a lot of stuff won't happen that might be too much for some people, but the vibes are always meant to be good. Even the portion of the chapter we're play testing through right now, vibes are immaculate. Yes it's NTS, yes it has NTR aspects and IR aspects, but the vibes are good. Honestly it's hard to imagine that there's 3 blood-unrelated siblings and all them have the same stepmother, unless they were all adopted from orphanages. It seems this is the case as it was told that Laura can't have children and her husband divorced because of that. What was the story, she couldn't have children so she adopted 3 and the husband got mad and left?
