No release date just yet, it will be released without warning most likely, or maybe a day before heads up or something. The update progress hasn't been what I wished for in July, part of me was hoping a Ch6 release last month ( That was the plan when I started ), it wasn't a good month for me personally and it wasn't a good month for the project either. That might affect how many animations will be present on the Gold Release as well, since I'll be working hard this upcomming 2 weeks but the animations come from a different department.

Also, some of you might be worried about what's going on in platforms like Itch and Steam, my message to you: Do not worry, the project will move foward anyway, even if this page gets deleted tomorrow. Your support for the past year it's what makes this possible. Future content, past Chapter 6, will still be developed while a solution is found.

Such a stupid concept to build a story. The whole point of act 1 is to introduce the characters and the scene; and set up for act 2. That's how you draw an audience in and make people invested in the story. This mid-WIP dlc bullshit just reeks of milking the supporters, to me. And at best it's just a dumb way to build a plot because not only do the long release-gaps make you forget what the fuck happened, but the gaps between actual plot points become even larger with all the extra characters added in.

Look far back in different pages, im not repeating myself nor am I bringing back an already dead subject that has been answered logically and refuted for milking time and time again. Sometimes TV shows go 2 or even three years between seasons, and many of them have far more characters. I'm really starting to question some peoples memories. It's not all that difficult to remember basic story beats, you don't have to remember every last detail.
Like I can remember the basic story beats of literally hundreds of books, shows, movies, games and yes, VN's. Many with far more characters and complex plots and some of which don't see a sequel for many years. Is this not normal?

I can understand being frustrated about the amount of content, that is subjective to a large degree. But the memory argument is wild to me.

Everyone has different tastes, I find Vulgar Reverie incredibly tedious to put it mildly. With it's rigid storytelling structure which you compliment being the main reason as to why. And it has less than a third of the patreons so I guess I'm not alone? Either way, it's completely subjective.

I'm not telling you you have to like it, far from it in fact. But I will admit I find it a tad annoying when any experimentation or breakup with storytelling structure in the AVN space is hit with some people geeking out and wanting to go back to repeating the exact same thing over and over.

I find VN's like Vulgar Reverie or BTW or NTS phone so boring I literally have to force myself to pay attention. But it's subjective, everyone likes different things. And the great thing about the AVN space right now is there's games catering to so many different tastes, both in fetish content and storytelling structure (and barring the payment processing gestapo cracking down even more this will undoubtedly continue). There's never been less need to get upset about a game not catering to you because usually there's 4 or 5 others at least that will be catering to more or less precisely what you want.

Serving up two or three second loop videos as “major content” is a complete joke. And talking as if he’s offering some grand, branching narrative experience? Now that is the real comedy.

Sure, the visuals are nice; I’ll give him that. He’s clearly skilled at generating AI images. But that doesn’t change the fact that he’s dragging things out forever with ridiculous excuses. Let’s stop treating this guy like he’s single-handedly porting GTA Vice City to the Rage Engine.

You don't see much interest in diving back into that subject because it has already been addressed in multiple discussions. Quit trying to turn the thread back to the days of non-peacefulness.
