I'm not forgetting shit, I just like NTS (and NTR) for more facets than turning it into another, boring-ass harem for the MC. No offence, but this is a pointless argument for us to actually have, because you (and a lot of others) treat stories like this as some weird self-insert wish fulfilment, so you judge everything from Eric's POV, as if you are Eric. I don't, at all; to me, Eric is just another character in the story, and thus, I don't need (or want) Vi to be some subservient drone who is fully controlled by Eric's voice commands.
Eric has done a fuck of a lot more than Vi has, and it's getting boring to me, when Vi is in a relationship with a guy that's fucked (or come close to fucking) literally every person they both know, and Vi still has to confirm, re-confirm, and triple confirm to suck somebody's dick, after Eric has shown 6 chapters of support for her moving in that direction. Hell, Eric himself (in concept) would tell you guys off for being so fucking weird about Vi just taking a bit of initiative for once. Also, I dunno why you bring up "trust", because - judging by your comment - you have no idea what trust actually is. Trust isn't endlessly asking before you take every single step, to ask to be guided and greenlit like a robot. Trust has no meaning in that endless cycle of confirmations. Trust actually matters when an autonomous human being can make their own decisions...and know that the person they trust will know they did them, on their own, for the right reasons. In this case, Vi knowing that going what she did will turn Eric on, even if he feels some initial anxiety over it.
Anyway, different strokes, different folks. I hope the game continues with themes like these; now, I guess we'll just have to see who gets appealed to more. I'll continue enjoying the updates nonetheless.
