Circle expected it this last week, but ye that didnt happen. Probably will just get randomly released whenever its done. Not to criticize cus great work should take whatever time it takes, but circle isn't the greatest at hitting the deadlines he sets for himself. Should probably just skip commenting on time schedules, the Anya post never happened either.

Based on what the Shadows of Ambition Dev has said, the existing crossover bits are being removed and no more will happen, which is disappointing if true.

Hopefully the scene is changed/ added to and not just replaced... If it's not it will be kind of a let down, all the build up to just repeating the first shoot again and the story stalling out instead of progressing?

I didn't get the impression it's due to drama, the reason wasn't stated but I would think they both (or one) just decided crossovers were too much hassle for any benefit they might have. I wouldn't be shocked either if some of the negative reviews of MNGF ch6 might have played a slight role as well but I'm just guessing.

CG said fan feedback doesn't impact the development so I don't think that's it. I'm thinking there was drama. Previous posts and some other things said in the off topic thread make it seem that way. There also isn't activity from previous dev members in this thread that used to post all the time. Now CG suddenly is getting banned and censored...something weird is going on but I'm just guessing as well.

The reason for that is simply because this thread turned into a massive shithole for a while to a point where most of these guys just said 'Nope, I'm out'. Same reason why CG barely ever posted here in recent months.

Abyss just said that there won't be any more cameos in the foreseeable future and that it wasn't his decision. At the end of the day it does not affect either game. Both continue development as usual. Cameos were kinda cool but it's not a big deal IMO.

Art and animation was very nice, although the BBC trope is super tired imho. It'd be nice to have black guys in games that aren't just stereotypes. But I'm not making the game, so do what you will dev.

I will first address the notion that a dev does not have to take into account the reception of his paying public. That is flawed thinking. It happens all the time. Movies test screen for reasons and more than a few have had to reshoot scenes that did not get received well. And sometimes seeing it through the eyes of others illuminates something that you missed because as the Dev/author you know where the story is ultimately going so sometimes you skip steps that felt small in scope..to you. In the end, if you are doing this with getting paid in mind. You better listen to that audience...the paying one I mean.

Second, I do not think the discussion was a strict NTR vs NTS issue, those are just the terms we use now. The rules for them hardly influence anything as you likely could not find two people on here who could agree to what they are. I can only speak for myself, but for me it was a matter of I am focused on the couple of Eric and Vi. I am not here for Eric to have a chad protag journey, of nailing all girls while Vi awaits his return. Nor am I here for the Vi "New Ho of Babylon" saga, where she goes slack faced anytime anyone unzips their pants. Both concepts bore the hell out of me. The last update tried to thread some of those needles, while skipping a few steps I feel were needed, and fell flat. At least for me.

I like Vi the tease that does dirty stuff for the enjoyment of both her and her partner. I like Eric trying to anticipate what she will do next only to have to "punish and reclaim" his girl. But in truth there is no reclaim cause neither are actually stepping out and straying. Which is likely why I hate the concept of Bruce as the writing seems to sometimes place him on an Eric level of influence on Vi, which I get, but personally am meh on.

As one of the people that critiqued the scene and said it felt a bit sudden for her to go that far immediately after last update, you pretty much nailed it. I haven't checked the thread in awhile and it seems things got quite heated over this event. I would say obviously her blowing a guy during a photoshoot because she got horny in a vacuum is hot. However, it just felt odd after how last update ended to have this happen suddenly behind Eric's back. With no teasing, with no asking if he wants her to get spicier, etc. like what happened when she originally sent photos in to Bruce.

Then on top of that the photos are sent not to him but to Ari, where she then teases him with them instead of Vi doing the teasing. The dialogue used here is also very provocative, obviously to make him rage fuck Ari, but everything just made it feel like they are escalating separately, outside of their relationship. When I think a lot of people if not most would rather them both get crazier together. That doesn't mean they always have to be with each other when things happen but some more communication and input/teasing goes a long way as the boundaries get expanded further.

They've been talking so much about their relationship dynamic over the chapters, I feel like it's okay for Vi + Eric to start doing things without having to check back with their partner every time. I mean, that kinda is the point of this adventure.
