SymbioticLife, I think I’ve found an example that should better illustrate my point while also respecting yours: on the left, an older rendering model in terms of style (soft/sensual/etc.) + a line model that is also consistent, just as you like. On the right, a more recent model for both linework and artistic style (more comic-like).

If you insist that the image on the right is better (and I’m not talking about the subject matter, just the overall artistic quality), then I won’t agree, and we’ll stop discussing this point needlessly! ;)

I see the harder borders again but now I notice the shading style is also harder. Or is that a result of the different lighting in the rooms?

To be fair the pics from 0 above do have less detail, what's the term for it? the lines detailing features, muscles and shading. Also while these two show there's been high detail lighting, reflection and skin tone since 3, the two cluseup by Symba show a contrast, the pic from 3 is much flatter (though again what do i know maybe that's how fulldaylight is rendered?)

Whatever the case, I would think fidelity and "maturity" are high priorities. (that thing about the eyes you coupled with maturity... i'm guessing that the disney think i keep complaining abt with AI stuff, particularly observable in fanart thread like in ORS)
Yes, sir!

That’s possible, but there’s no need to overthink it either, since we’re dealing with similar situations (fitting rooms), which suggests that the lighting intensity should be similar.

However, given the change in rendering style (shading, as you call it), it’s more likely that this “harshness” comes from a comic book-style LoRA overpowering (in weight) other influences…

I did some research (I even downloaded 1111! —Don't hit me, I know that mean nothing without days/month of testing...), and I think that in response to my initial question, SymbioticLife's take on the evolution of the artistic direction is probably the most relevant! Maybe the collaboration with Ceagle on the Halloween comic book (which was pretty badass) is the driving factor behind it, actually…

I'm too busy trying to help finish the SoA update to really reply to your last two posts in any depth, but the guess that he decided he liked the look of the comic style is very plausible and might have had an effect.

Also, so we have some actual fanart here's a few old images I don't think I ever posted here.

Also, whatsreal dropped an amazing image (in my humble opinion) on the discord so hopefully he graces the forums with it at some point.

Guys, your respective work takes priority. I’m just sharing my questions/thoughts because I think too many people assume AI = easy, whereas from what I read (and I’m still digging), that’s so not the case at all! o_O

So definitively, there is no urgency to reply! :)

Tx to WhatsReal123 who share Vi's layer I've done another of my lil' edits! :D

This amazing artwork has that little comedic touch with Vi almost knocked out by Eric’s big cock. At first it made me laugh, but then, looking more closely at the scene, I thought she didn’t quite deserve that treatment, even if she adores that piece of meat... o_O
What if he wasn’t so vigorous (after all, he must have gone all out for everyone to need this little nap), wouldn’t we have a softer scene, more in tune with this peaceful and beautiful moment?

So here it is!

sleep_party_Der1.png

For those in a hurry for a good fap, some fun facts (or maybe not): you must know this edit took me nearly 5 hours. Yeah, I’ve been out of the game for a while, I don’t have a graphics tablet anymore, working with a mouse is meh, and I’m dealing with low-res compressed images, but what I want to show you is the process. The next image illustrates the three major steps in generating these complex images, focusing on just a small section—Vi’s face:

• At the top, the raw original produced by the first prompt.

• In the middle, a pass to harmonize the lighting. Here I did this manually, but that’s the idea.

• At the bottom, the final composition with all the little refinements.

sleep_party_Der3.png

Now, imagine the work needed just for this image:

4 characters = 4 generations = 4 layers = 4 times step 1, then a rough first composition to serve as a reference for harmonizing the entire scene (step 2), and finally, all the retouching to achieve a polished final image (step 3).

And now, imagine that a game like MNGF has hundreds of images! Okay, not all are this complex, but still!

AI is a tool, just like charcoal or a paintbrush once were, and NO, the work is not easy!

I get it, sometimes the urge to wank is stronger than reason, but let’s keep in mind that the people creating this kind of stuff spend a crazy amount of time on it! So if a release take more time than expected, let’s stay cool—because in the end, the chances of it being even better are pretty high!

thank...

Not Symbiotic here, but you'd prolly get the same answers from anyone really; A1111 Stable Diffusion or ComfyUI and Photoshop if you wanna go all the way. Now, that's just the basic interface and you'll need Checkpoint + loRA's etc. to actually generate a certain type of art.

Checkpoint used is Pony Diffusion V6 XL. loRA's..well, a bunch.

In my case I actually use autism confetti quite often for checkpoint. But CG uses pony v6, so its better for matching his style.
