I think there is a word for it : where someone irrationally defends something they have a lot of investment in. Its similar to StarCitizen fans who have spent thousands of dollars backing the game and still cannot accept the fact that 10 - 15 years is a bit too long for a game to be still in development. Star Citizen is the biggest scam in game history. Game is in developmemt for 10+ years with funding surpassed 300 fucking million dollars and game is still in early alpha stage. That game will never be finished, mark my words.
