it means you haven't progressed school questline enough to activate carol's side questline.
but i dont know how to finish the carol's questline, i just collect 3 difference book and go to talk Sandra
what do i do next step to get carol's FB?

after you get four books, go to carol's home and talk to her to finish this quest.

So im a bit unclear as to how much content is in the game right now, is it the same as the other version or can you not join a gang yet sex maria/mom?

as far as i know, ms turner hasn't received her full questline yet. but since carol's questline involving history class project is done, i would assume ms turner's could be completed in the next update.
but who knows.

In the original gay content was there for Jason and the dev said they would add more later the dev which kinda alluded to a gay route. I don't think the dev has reached that point for the revamp so It'd be better for you return once the game has had more updates.
